Yep. It probably doesn´t offer a fair plus over the CLS for that pricetag, for the marketing strategy is clear.

Dealers have gotten their order sheets about two weeks ago.

Here is my guess for the official US pricing for 650i Grancoupe : 73,000.

MB CLS550 is the segment leader in this class with about 750 cars sold in Oct and Nov, A7 is close second at 650. CLS550 MSRP is 71500 + 2000 for the 50000 maintenance. At 73000 6 Gran coupe can hold on very well against the MB CSL550. Lets see.

If this is U.S numbers, then impressive for the A7 (Audi is far far behind M-B in the U.S in Sales still), considering the CLS is the creator/benchmark of this Class. I will wager that many U.S Shoppers don't find them to be competitors though, as U.S'ers see a "Hatchback" as a whole different animal than a 3-Box usually. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the entry price for an A7 is lower than the CLS by a decent margin.

At that price range I do not think the difference is of any mager importance. When you add options it easely goes over 100K for either the CLS, A7 or 6 GC.

For it to be more expensive, I would assume it would have a more impressive list of options or atlease the same level of options as the 7 series. It would be interesting if BMW prices the 6GC and 750i in the same price range. If you look at the BMW price range, it does not have a car in the 73K price with a V8. That is the reason I would think it would be in that range. Also 7 is the BMW flagship and I am sure they will not try to push 6GC above the 7.

I am waiting on the offical information I want to either get the 6GC individual or the CLS550/63 designo . Also I hope the ride is better than 6 coupe.

7er can hope to match the 6er in terms of options. They can do it with the LCI, because right now, the 6er is definitely more advanced. In tech and in options (like 8-speed gearbox and B&O sound system)

Also, in my country, a 6er coupe base is slightly less expensive than 7er base, but a base 6er cabrio is already more expensive than a base 7er.
6 GC is going to be more expensive than a 7er, no question about that.

Sad is it may be, right now I think a 650i GC will be as 'cheap' as a CLS63 AMG.

It HAS to be better than the horrid headroom offered in the CLS.

Maybe I would be the person. But I don't think the 650i F08 will cost more than the CLS AMG, as it would then also cost more than the M5 F10. And ther is also the M6 GC coming, that is going to be M's flagship model until we'll ever see an M supercar.

It`s your option Levi. My vote goes for the Cls because I think it`s one of the hottest car in this moment. It has a very beautiful design for me it`s idilic. I couldn`t believe my eyes when I saw it. It`s so different from the E class. I thought it will be an E 4 door coupe but thankfully I was wrong. Now I have big expectations from the S, SL and CL. But bmw has also, great models, I like very very much the F10 5er especially with the M package, I love 3er coupe, the new 3 series sedan F30, and the X5 but without facelift it`s better. 7er is really ugly except his rear.
