6 Series Official Pictures : BMW 6er Convertible.

The BMW 6 Series is a range of grand tourers produced by BMW since 1976. It is the successor to the E9 Coupé. The first generation BMW E24 6 Series was available solely as a two-door coupé and produced from 1976 to 1989, when it was supplanted by the larger BMW 8 Series (E31). When the 6 Series nameplate was revived in 2004 for the second generation, the BMW E63/E64 6 Series, the coupé was joined by a convertible body style. The third generation F06/F12/F13 6 Series debuted in 2011 as a coupé and convertible, and a sedan variant known as the "Gran Coupé" in 2012. When the F06/F12/F13 6 Series ended production, the "Gran Coupé"/coupé/convertible models shifted into the more upmarket BMW 8 Series (G15) nameplate. The fourth generation 6 Series, the G32 6 Series, debuted in mid-2017 and is offered only as a fastback body style to complement the BMW 5 Series (G30) sedan/wagon.
Now I get it!

The LED turn signals [and flat bottomed headlights] are an extra-cost option! Read the release on the F13.

Reading the press releases, it seems the LED fog lights are also an option. That's a tad surprising for a car of this caliber, segment, price, brand, and age.

Very nice in blue the best colour so far

Just back from Geneva Auto Show :D
6er convertible is a stunning car!!!
In the metal, doesn´t look (to me) as big as some people have led me to believe...if they call it a boat, then a MB S series is Noah´s Ark!!
Like GreyCoupe says, it´s no real world 4 seater! Back seat is strickly for young kids (with skinny legs!!). Most people who sat in the car all wanted to try the back seat, and most came out shaking their heads,,,,Getting out from the back seat was another problem (with the canvas open), with the canvas closed, almost nobody ventured into the back seat! On the bright side, gives guys an excellent excuse to leave the mother-in-law home :t-hihi:
Presentation color was BLAAAHHH,,,, in all pictures I ever saw, it looked goldish, in reality, it looks beige, with a tint of rose,,,blah!! When the black canvas is showing, then it´s acceptable,,,contrast is nice,,,, when retracted, almost couldn´t see the car with so many lights!!
About that exposed, forgot to include in the dash, nav screen, it´s not as bad as I had envisioned. I can learn to live with it!! Seen from the driver´s perspective, it´s acceptable (Audi A8 and A7´s screen,,,)
No test drive possible, so, no comment!!
If there was a "private viewing area", to get a glimpse of the coupe, I couldn´t find it!!
I asked one of the BMW guys about the "Tri-turbo diesel" that´s in the works, and he didn´t know what I was talking about,,,so he said,,,,oh well!! Hey, maybe he was Scott and he recognized me for always asking about the tri-turbo :eusa_thin
Nobody could tell me about Xdrive either, except that it would eventually become available,,,,so what else is new????
Overall, I´m delighted with the convertible, save the back seat leg room (my sons have two 320D coupes that sincerely have more space!!),,,oh, and I almost forgot,,,,the PRICE !!!!
OUCH !!!! As the saying goes: "You wanna play,, you gotta pay"! :t-wild:

Is anyone aware which engine exactly is used in the 640i? It's a further developed N50 as I understand but which engine model would it then be?

Taking it easy for the 6er Convertible.

And if you like the song?

The Coupe soundtrack is an exclusive remix especially for BMW.
Both Coupe and Convertible were fimed at the same time.

I want to thank you for just messing up my focus on a new car! I pretty much sure I want a BMW in the next 9-12 months and the primary focus was the M3, but after seeing the 650i Cabrio in person I was really taken by it. Now looking at these pics, all thats left to do is drive one. I'm waiting to see what the M-pack is going to look like on it. Should be absolutely stunning.

It drives pretty amazing, but mostly in Sport+. The Normal or Comfort mode is a bit too comfy for a true BMW fan, BUT..the car was built with a different demographic in mind, above 50 and mostly female. The car is the perfect cruiser, but if you want, you can push it to the limit. We took it all the way up to 150 mph, while in Sport+, and handled superb.

Cornering, again with Sport+, was perfect, the car is well balanced.

Complaints? A few, but more in our test drive review.

We drove it for about 500 km and it was fun.

Did they take the 6er Coupe off the floor at the New York Autoshow to go to the North American press launch?

Some one PM'd me saying they went to see the 6er Coupe specifically in New York but it was apparently removed?

I see the 650i Convertible Individual made it's way , It is the currently only Individual 6er Prototype as many of the materials are first examples.
It was the same car that was at Geneva.

The coupe was never meant to be shown to the public in NYC, just press.

Yes, it was the same 6er, flown from Germany. All the other cars are from the US.

Just like the Yellow Z4 , incase you were wondering why you were not allowed to open the bonnet it was a sDrive 30i with sDrive28i badges. ;)

Back from my dealer. 6er Convertible does look good but I was hoping for a WOW-factor. The interior is to die for though.
I think and hope 6er Coupé going to be more imposing than the convertible.
