Hot! Mercedes-Benz, What's Next?

If this V8 ends up in the C-class,CLE & E-class simultaneously, They will destroy everything in the Midsize Coupe/Sedan category.

"A new engine will restore eight-cylinder power in certain models, though don’t expect to see it in a new C63. Instead, the V8 will be reserved for models positioned closer to the top of the hierarchy rather than the bottom."

Then they are just simply not gonna sell, Again.
People will just get the C53 & CLE53 & call it a day.
To continue the V12 discussion here is what I just saw..

True. You can’t convince a V12 buyer to buy a V8 or an EV claiming it can be ‘smoother’ with current NVH technologies. They Want the V12, End of story.

Because it wouldn’t make sense for the C53 to be i6 & C63 to be another i6.

And let’s face it…Buyers will choose the i6 from BMW if so, they’ve established that already.
You mean like it couldn’t make sense for the 43 to be an I4 while the 63 is also the same I4?

Why didn’t the E-class, GLE & GLS 63 models ever get the “S E-Performance” P3 setup like the AMG GT63 S E-Perf back in 2021?

That car doesn't have a V8 either. They both don't need one, a modern I6 is all they need.
AMG don't make an in-house bespoke inline-6, like they do with their V8s.
The M256 Evo is good, but its not closed deck like the B/S58 or the M139, so I reckon it probably isn't going to be able to handle the boost pressures needed to compete with the S68.

A V8 they can just detune down a bit to 550 ponies, and it'll have a hell of a lot more torque. It'll just be a different prospect.

i6s are not AMG’s strong point tbh unless they come up with a Closed-Deck 600hp I6, Because the G84 will make 560hp as a Mild-Hybrid & it’ll be lighter probably.

Exactly they are a V8 brand, AMG is synonymous with the V8. An inline 6 as the top dog would still not feel right, That’s BMW.
