6 Series (F12/F13/F06) [Official] BMW 6er Coupe (F13)

The BMW F12/F13/F06 is the third generation 6 Series produced and sold from 2011 to 2018. The body styles of the range are a 2-door convertible (F12), 2-door coupé (F13), and a 4-door sedan (F06, marketed as "Gran Coupé").
Sat in another White 640i with M-Pack.

Ahh, love it. Back to back with the 3-Series, the design and overall feeling of the car has a sense of serenity and occasion that I was afraid it might have lacked (in comparison with lower BMW models), even though lots of materials were very similar/same. However, it did feel a little too (wayy too) big even for me, the feeling of mass wrapping around you. Oddly enough, the *feeling* of a 2-Door with equal size to a 4-Door is much, much larger. I think it has to do with how large the doors are, how long the hood is, and how your head is even closer forward than the B-Pillar, and then how large even the rear quarter windows are, etc.

This car, especially in white, reminds me of an orgy of satin sheets, blowing through the wind. The recent one I sat in really left an impression on me.

Its official - 650i Coupe (550GT) get the same powerboost as GC - 450 hp
Not for 5-series Sedan though.

Increase to 445 hp, 480 lb-ft of torque (+45 hp, +30 lb-ft of torque)

Shame that the seda gets treated like a bastard. Reminds me of the 1er Coupe and 1er hatch ordeal with the 135i.

Sorry, but you even know what you're talking about?
5er is breaking all records, and they're taking good care of it. No N63 TÜ engine is because the M550d just got presented, and they want to give that engine a good chance. The 550i with 450 hp would definitely put the M550d in the shadow.

So they gave the 5er an all new high tech instrument cluster, and B&O sound system. They're taking care of it alright.

It will get the updated engine at facelift. It is already nice it gets B&O and the new digital intrument cluster before facelift. Facelift will surely add LED headlights.

These are getting very tempting second hand. Like most performance cars, values drop massively as soon as you drive them out of the showroom, but even these drops are something I couldn't have predicted.

Example:
£64,995, BMW M6 Coupe, 1,040 miles, September 2012, Adaptive LED headlights

The list price of this car is £97,300. That's a £32,305 drop! This is from an official BMW dealer. The car hasn't even been run-in yet so as far as I'm concerned is basically new.

Finance deals are available:

Cheapest I could find was 6+35 at just over £1k inc vat. It is cheaper than buying but still £42k....

Mind you, the cheapest car at £65k would work out similar money if you could get an apr of around 7%
Give it another year and these M6s will be on sale for around £45,000.
Amazing.

You have certainly done your homework and I smell some high interest here:p Betty going back to his ///M roots?:sneaky:

That's unbelievable! Would similar depreciation be experienced on an S7 or CLS63?

I'm definitely getting a BMW next year to replace my A1. I doubt it's going to be an M6 though. Cannot justify an M6 AND an R8 V10 in the same garage. An E92 M3 might look tempting, even if I have had one before. When the F80 M3 is released second values of the E92 will drop.

However, top of the list at the moment is an M135i.

I am with cent on this one, the sedan should get the power boost just like the 6er. Instrument cluster, B&0 sound system. Big deal, give me the latest engine klier.

A business associate I deal with has just bought a 640dGT for £22K off list price, though the car was meant to be a demo car at the dealers for the first three months he got the car after only 10 days!!! Either BMW are having serious trouble shifting the heavy stuff or they are forcing their dealer to take the kind of stuff they know they'll struggle to sell normally.

Oh and +1 on the M135i, can't think of a single hot hatch that ticks so many boxes...... apart from the GTI that is.

No, because BMW sucks more :banghead:

This subject has been beaten to death many many many times by now. Time to let it rest.
Or if it means so much to you, open a thread about it.

Oh trust me all are losing huge amounts at the moment, it really depends on the number of dealers per brand that are in your area. Where I am you can get A6/7s seriously cheap and I'm sure if I checked Merc would be no different.

Isn't it well-known fact that expensive cars are rarely a profitable purchase?
You get discounts with pretty much every car. Hey I even got a discount on Opel Astra GTC...
