6 Series [Official] BMW 6er Gran Coupe

The BMW 6 Series is a range of grand tourers produced by BMW since 1976. It is the successor to the E9 Coupé. The first generation BMW E24 6 Series was available solely as a two-door coupé and produced from 1976 to 1989, when it was supplanted by the larger BMW 8 Series (E31). When the 6 Series nameplate was revived in 2004 for the second generation, the BMW E63/E64 6 Series, the coupé was joined by a convertible body style. The third generation F06/F12/F13 6 Series debuted in 2011 as a coupé and convertible, and a sedan variant known as the "Gran Coupé" in 2012. When the F06/F12/F13 6 Series ended production, the "Gran Coupé"/coupé/convertible models shifted into the more upmarket BMW 8 Series (G15) nameplate. The fourth generation 6 Series, the G32 6 Series, debuted in mid-2017 and is offered only as a fastback body style to complement the BMW 5 Series (G30) sedan/wagon.
That's a stunning front end, Ismet Çevik!

BMW should take notice indeed. Modern, typical BMW and aggressive. Love the Z4 inspired grille, as always...

F*CK!!!!

What a stunner!! It looks so good. I don´t like the "LEDs" location and shape, for the rest is simply perfect. I´d love the idea of a BMW with such a front end. It would suit the next 5er IMO. Although I would change a bit the front bumper, It looks too S-Coupe.

Fvck, i want to see more!!!

My 2 cents worth of analysis on BMW 6 Series front design:)

The headlights and the upper hood/bonnet cutline should be on the same level as the upper edge of the kidney grill like it is on the imagined model. I feel that the current 6, although an attractive car but nowhere near the aggressive beauty of the imagined car here, front headlights are way too out of the line and pushed quite backward/upward compared to the kidney grill, hence breaking the symmetry in front end design. The same is the problem with the current generation SLK. The headlamps are not in the same line with the grill and pushed back/up.

The bumper design of the imagined model is by far the nicest compared to any production BMW. It some how merge so well with the other elements of the front design. The production BMW 6 front bumper just look "outdated" in comparison imo. Mercedes bumpers are even worse forming odd V-Shape making it look a bit bulbous imo. Only the AMG models like The S63 and SL63 have front bumpers that lines are a bit more straighter and look better to my eyes.

Finally the question is that BMW, officially also, shows very attractive concept cars like the CS, Gran Lusso, Nazca, M1 but none of them are converted into production at least yet and there is no news if they are going to be.

^ There is no conspiracy.
Your resident GCF BMW propaganda team might make you believe that its not made due to financial crisis.
While the fact of the matter is that luxury goods are selling like hot cakes, be it clothes, cars or watches.
Other brands have during this time expanded their high end portfolio, and even gone into super/hyper car investments.
Porsche,Ferrari, Mercedes and many more..
So if you believe that its only down to financial crisis..
Well then celebration time for scott and eni, they convinced you.
Last we saw an 8er was over 30 years ago.. and it sure as HELL has not been a financial crises since then.
This ain't the great depression ffs!

So as you see klier no conspiracy, common sense perhaps;)

PS
Now as to the real reason why they do not make 8ers and CSLs and Supercars, its highly debatable.
But to be honest i think its nothing more or less than the fact that BMW does not do anything they do not see profit in.
In other words their boring decisions are down to them being some serious penny savers.
BMW AG the stingiest board on the planet:D

PPS
Very good for investors, less fun for enthusiasts.
;)

At the Munich branch there are a 6er GC in individual colour purple silk metallic, combined with merino leather opal white, M- package and 20" rims 373 M. In my eyes it´s a combination which is surely not everybodys taste, but it´s interesting.

The pics are showing a 650i (I know you can it also read on the plate) Gran Coupe in Pure Metal Silver combined with Amarobrown Leather.
It's a model of the "Pearl Edition" which is available only in the Middle East and only for 6 Gran Coupe and 7 Series.
A detail which makes this showed 6 GC unique is the Alpina front spoiler.
The car is to see at BMW Abu Dhabi. :)
