Or a MB fan not to like the car. I seriously dont get the love some of you guys have for the CLS. Almost every new Benz looks like zillion times better than the bug looking CLS. I can fully understand if someone like 6-series or A7. The design is cleaner and more elegant and timeless which you cant say about CLS. Both 6-series and A7 totally trashes the CLS in terms of look.

I can fully understand if someone like 6 series or CLS or A7. But IMO you`re very wrong boy, Cls looks gorgeous, absolutely lovely and I think he trashes the A7. A7 look godd from the front, and from the rear but the profile is horrible like I said I call that thing "Quasimodo". 6er GC I think most of them voted from the freshness of its design, it`s the newest and people seem to like always the newest car in a poll. But, he lokes cool, agressive. If you want an agressive design a spory one you must pick 6er GC, but if you like opulence and luxury and sculpture lines you must go for the Cls. Cls is a piece of art in terms of design. Thats my opinion boy. Regarding A7, I don`t see a reason for choosing that car, I really don`t.

Looks like this is going to be another poll BMW is going to loose. The BMW was pretty far in the lead and now the CLS is only one vote off. I think BMW has more active fans here, MB more overall. CLS is going to overtake the 6er today or tomorrow...

I hope so, I think Cls fully deserves that.

I think it abvious some of us wanted a BMW 4 door coupe separated from the rest of the line up. And wouldn´t mind if then a shooting brake is released based on that stand alone 4 dr coupe. Quite an obvious difference.

And BTW, CLS Concept front looked much better.

Seriously SKY, I thought better of you. This isn't about MB vs BMW, but about simple basic facts. Fact is the 6er GC is a 6er. Fact also is that the CLS wagon is a CLS. Simple, objective facts.

All the rest you said about wanting something else doesn't matter. It's nothing but fanboy wishful thinking. The GC is a clear extension of the 6er family line, just like the 5er Touring is an extension of the 5er line and the CLS Shooting Brake is to the CLS line. I wouldn't even be surprized to see a CLS 2 door coupe with the facelift.

I couldn't agree with you more on this, BMW fans are by far the more vocal and active compared to the other two and if you look at market share worldwide it should probably be pretty even between all three but my guess is that this site probably has a greater concentration of American and S.African members than else where so that means a greater share of BMW and Merc members, nothing wrong with that other than it's leads to a more polarised opinion.

We have three great cars with each having a different angle on what a 4dr coupe should be, personally at the moment I think I prefer the 6GC, it's the easiest on the eyes from all angles, the Merc is over styled for my liking and the A7 doesn't have the best rear. Give me the keys of any and I would break your wrist.

The thing is also that there are alot more BMW owners/fans on forums. There are less Audi forums with very few members that post only once a week. BMW forums ae alot more active.

The CLS is sexier and sleeker. The other two look like business cabs with sleek roof lines.
Part of this is due to the arching body line of the CLS. If it had straight shoulder lines and raised boot lids like the Audi and BMW it would have been a failure.

^ If anything, the CLS looks most like a regular sedan to me. Not that it's bad because the CLS is beautiful as it is. The A7 is not even a sedan though. Don't know exactly what it is, I believe it's called a fastback.

Fastback or hatchback. To me it gets 3rd place as least beautiful.

It`s amazing how different our opinions are.

To me the CLS is the most coupe like because of it`s thicker C-Pillar, arching profile and sloping boot.
It almost gives the impression of being a single piece of metal that was carved out.

The 6er to me is simply more conventional looking. I never said it was bad looking because it isn`t.

The funny thing is the A7 almost looks more like a sedan than a hatchback/fastback IRL.

I definitely get the people who find the CLS the sportiest design. The car has something I can't quite put my finger on...

I honestly have to disagree with you Klier. It looks 'heavy' and even 'bloated' with too much 'flame surfacing and creases - of old.'

Nah, it looks Grand Tourer 4-door - coupe-ish... not sporty as in 'tight' and 'nimble'

No worries, we're here to disagree. I find the side profile pic posted by GTA to be simply handsome. Fresh, modern and nice proportions. The green house looks outstanding and the roofline is sporty in my book.

The car does need the right rims, full LED lights and an AMG pack with visible exhausts though. The most basic versions of the CLS are way less sexy. And that's not the case with the 6er GC imo. Every version look good. A bit boring maybe, but the gigantic size and low roofline will make up for that in real life (my guess)

And besides, the 6er doesn't exactly look nimble to me either..nimble like a boat maybe ;)
CLS looks sporty for a sedan I mean.
