6 Series (G32) [Official] BMW 6er GT (G32)

The BMW G32 is the fourth generation 6 Series, which went on sale from 2017 to 2023. The body style of the G32 is a 5-door fastback and it is marketed as "6 Series Gran Turismo" (replacing the previous generation 5 Series Gran Turismo).
I really doubt it will have more space than a G31, maybe a negligible ammount.

It has more in pretty much every respect, head room, shoulder room, leg room, luggage capacity.

I you want a car that is more comfortable than 5er, but cant afford 7er, why not but e class?

Because an E-class doesn't offer the other things that the GT does.... so... why not just buy a 6GT?

Don't you mean X7.... 5er doesn't get CFRP so would be strange for the X5 to get it.

AFAIK will get CFRP. I know it sounds strange. SUV's can have higher margins and thus they can go with CFRP there.

It's also interesting why 8er true successor of 6er. They can charge more for it and got higher margins because in China it will play against S Coupe. Chinese people are willing to pay for such cars.

The 5er Gran Turismo found its niche by doing something completely extraordinary.
It tapped into a mindset where the customer was not interested in following the zeitgeist of the SUV March.
The 5er Gran Turismo is a concept designed from the inside out and it shows. Because a new type of customer found solace in how it was still a premium vehicle but took a different direction to luxury, flexibility and user ability.
It's driving position was applauded especially by female customers who found that semi- command position provided the best view for them.
My wife has a GT and she loves it.
As for the twin boot lid it was necessary to make it redundant as it was something we don't intend to use. Using the full hatch was more accessible.
The new 6er Gran Turismo embodies the best of the F07 but addresses its short comings in particular it's bulkier visual elements. In particular I don't think a vehicle like the GT needs an M Sport Packet. The F07 did not need one and always looked like an appendage. The standard line always struck well the balance between sport and luxury.

Anyways....who in his right mind buys a Mercedes? Indeed, nobody.
More people bought Mercedes than BMW in 2016 and this year so far! The question maybe you could ask is did the 5GT outsell the R-Class and will the 6GT outsell the E-class All Terrain?:D

I really can't think of a more luxurious, spacious and comfortable car this side of the S-Class and 7-Series.
Going by the information we have on hand it should ride just as smooth as the G11 which means it will be almost as comfortable as an S-Class. It surely will be better to drive than both of these cars too.

To answer your question: Everyone in their right mind would buy this car if they had the money.
At its price range there simply are no competitors that could even get close to how competent this car will be in delivering luxury and comfort to its occupants. The only cars that really compete with it cost tens of thousands more.
The thing is people rarely only listen to their mind when they are making a purchase.
A V-class and VW Kombi provide a more spacious and luxurious feel for 8 passengers than this car and both look better. Then there is the Skoda Superb which costs half the price and provides a bigger boot (625ltr) and more rear legroom even that the 7-series and probably this car as well. Those cars all make more sense than this heap of junk!

So you'd take a VW Kombi over an S-Class just because it provides more space ?
Luxury isn't only about space ;)
You don't make much sense, mate.

PS: The Superb is a great car... it has little to do with luxury though.

The fact that the new 6er GT is closer to the 7er can also be seen in several details, like the exterior paint finish and the alloy wheel design of the Luxury Line model from the official press pack. The BMW Individual Rubinschwarz paint finish (not available for the 5er Individual program) and the 20" code 646 wheels (standard for the Design Pure Excellence option) are taken from the 7er offer of goodies.:)

Mercedes fans should be ashamed of the V-Class. While BMW is investing money in CARS, the Star keeps on and on with its van business. Are you proud? I, for one, would not.

So, what are you comparing here? Apples with pears? Are you comparing a van with a GT? Complete nonsense...

Nonsense to the point of insanity.
With this line of thought, no luxury brand could even exist.

Anyways, Rolf picks a VW combi or V class over a 6er GT. We get it. I personally would be ashamed with even mentioning the existence of the V class, but to each his own.

More people bought Mercedes than BMW in 2016 and this year so far!

So? There's a lot of ugly people too. Even more retarded people. And a lot with no taste who buy a Benz. I don't see the correlation.
And the 'All terrain' E class is now being compared to the 6er GT? Are you desperate or something?

Klier you crack me up. I laughed so hard when i read this. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

As for the V class, I like that van but it's meant for an entirely different market. Where the 6er GT could be bought by older folk and people who like the idea of a premium luxury BMW with a raised seating position, the V class IMO is aimed more at the rental market.

At least that's my experience in South Africa. They're used for transporting VIP guests in numbers as well as Government official and dignitaries.

And why not it's a luxury van and IMO a good looking luxury van.

Pffftt.. I laugh at the V-Classes puny 8 seater luxury capacity...

I wanna roll with my 47 other seated bros, whilst 120 hoes stand and dance for us - thereby not exceeding the CapaCity's maximum occupant capacity ..

.. we can put MTV Cribs on the two Passengers 29" TFT informational displays, and sip cristal in the climate controlled driver area ..

.. I wonder if Mercedes could take the roof of the rear coach of the bus, they could call it a CapaCity Landaulet ... we could party under the sun all day long ..

That's some maxi luxury shi* right there.

Okay so I'm being facetious now .... I wouldn't turn down a V-Class Marco Polo if I was offered one.

Didn't know, that a V-class, a VW Kombi and a Skoda Superb do provide
- a drivetrain with ZF8hp and 350hp+ R6 or 450hp V8
- suspension/chassis quality somewhere between G30 and G11/S-class
- infotainment on the level of BMW ID6, which is undoubtely best in market

??
If you know contrary, please enlighten me! Only because you dont't personally like the design of the 6GT, calling it "heap of junk", seems to render further serious discussion useless.

There's genuine criticism and fanboy criticism....the latter making one seem stupid, even though they aren't .

Apart from the questionable looks this cars makes a lot of sense, almost as luxurious like a 7er , driving like a 5er and as practical as touring. I don't particularly like that they've named it a 6er, but it makes a solid business case selling relatively well for BMW.

I gave my honest opinion of this car and it's certainly not my kind of car anyway. No fanboy comment at all as my favourite cars are both BMW and Mercedes. Klier you over react to any negative comment raised on any BMW and I am sure that you wouldn't invest your money in buying one of these would you?

I think you would rather buy an E-class All Terrain and save a bit of money.:D Jokes!

Ok it will appeal to some people that want a versatile spacious large BMW with a raised seating position. Maybe it will also be suitable for the airport taxi market.
