GLE [Spyshots] 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe

The Mercedes-Benz GLE, formerly Mercedes-Benz M-Class (designated with the "ML" nomenclature), is a mid-size luxury SUV produced by the German manufacturer Mercedes-Benz since 1997. In terms of size, it is slotted in between the smaller GLC and the larger GLS, the latter with which it shares platforms.
Well the front end has been leaked. MB really have to stop using the same headlight design for all their new cars.

The C-class with the diamond grill looks delicious!

Not sure about the GLE coupe. Suffers like the current ML with an overly soft front end for an SUV.

Nice wheels, the car looks great overall if you can just change the color. I think this is going to be hit..

I can't help but feel that this looks better than its BMW rival.

Pfff... I think I have not been as divided by one car on ages. I kind of starting to dig the new X6. And I thought this looked by no means better. But these latest spy pics... It centarly looks better than I expected.

It has such meaty tires for a Mercedes. I hope the 3.5L n/a V6 and the 7G trans are no where to be found.

Totally agree on both points.
I like the latest X6 as well but the X6 seems to be a little more truck-SUV like in comparison.
This is definitely more buffed-out passenger car. It looks like the windows were carved out of a single piece of steel.
Very tight-ass packaging.

I don't like these kind of vehicles, but found interesting the new aproach to the "dropping line", just one line from front to rear, and with both door handles aligned to it. I think you @SKY mentioned that feature for upcoming Mercedes....

Licence plate should have been in the boot, and while I don't particularly like the clamshell design of the hood, and least the front hood shutline is lovely :)

Overall I like it. Somehow reminds me of the 1st gen CLS, maybe because of the greenhouse.

That's an AMG, so I hope you have the X6 M in mind when you compare ;)
Would be an interesting thread btw, this vs the X6.

Hybrid interior..smart decision.

Meh, I don't know if it's so smart to put an infotainment system in it that looks like something out of 2002. Absolutely disgusting. Those dials with numbers on it make me want to laugh and cry at the same time. Not even a €7k Toyota has that.

While it think it MAY have the BMW covered externally, I believe the X6's interior will have the GLE Coupe licked!

It's funny how BMW OWNS this body shape now, so it's hard for it to not look slightly like a BMW.

Why in some shots does it look like a cls on stilts, but other than that, I'd give it an 7/10 until I see it in person
