Golf [Spyshots] Spy Pics & Info: VW Golf VII

The LED running light formation is clearly noticeable. Looks like this car will be a winner again!

Some info about the navigation system. All maps will be updated for free for the first three years. I like that.

The passenger side of the interior is exactly the same one than the current Golf. The driver part is the one that changes. The nav screen, buttons and climate controls are exactly the same than the CC ones, but without the clock and driver oriented. The shifter is different too, the CC one. And steering wheel is all new, and no other VW has it, it is more elegant than the current one, with flat bottom.

Vw need a new steeringwheel... Where are "Those" leaked pics of the new best vw ever made? Golf <3
It's to long to wait for the 4th!! Come on, aaaaah!

The Mk6 was verging on having a more upmarket feel than the 1er and I'm guessing this one might succeed on that part. Has the best just got even better?

No Volkswagen deliberately disimproved it;):p This will set new boundaries in its class, and will outclass its competitors in a way we havent seen the E39 5 Series. I think this along with the new S-Class, 3-Series and 911 are/will be the best cars in the world:)

I dont get it, why is it a pity? They look pretty good to me.

Yes. They look good. So I would like them to be on some other car than on a "simple" Golf. The would look good on a BMW, as they do look like 4 "angel"-eyes.

Im really looking forward to this!!

^True, though I doubt we'll get AWD because they had every opportunity to fit it in the current model and chose not to.

Not that the current mk stayed in the market for long. I mean when was the Golf VI introduced?

Had it be a full generation (ie 7 years) I think that they would have introduced far model models/versions!

My point is that both the Mk5 and Mk6 Golf offered AWD in the form of the R32 and Golf-R so if Volkswagen had wished the Scirocco R to get AWD they could have easily done it but for what ever reason they chose not to. My opinion is that VW wish for the Scirocco to give a different driving experience to that of the Golf and if you drive both the Scirocco R and Golf R it's not hard to see they are different.

Who knows what VW will do next but in my opinion all they will achieve by offering AWD is making a coupe/hatch Golf R.

I agree with the bold part. If I recall correctly, this was VW's official answer to a journalist that asked the same question: Why no AWD available for the Scirocco?

Fact is, though, that it's very easy to put AWD in the Scirocco, as its underpinnings are shared with the Golf. Actually there are a few people in Greece that have put the AWD system from either the Golf R32 or the Passat R36 in the Scirocco and so far they are running perfectly fine!

For BMW and MB's sake (read 1 and A) I really hope this VW is not as good as it's expected to be. lol
