Volkswagen Touareg 3.0 TDI 2018 prototype review review | Autocar

It looks great from the inside, but after I read the article - who wants such long and wide SUV in European cities...it is almost 5 metres long and 2 metres wide.

Very promising. Please let there be a 4 cylinder engine option.

I asked my dealer about that, he say's there is going to be a GTE with a 2.0 turbo from the Golf R linked to a plug in battery, pretty much like the Volvo XC90 T8. I hope he's right.

Loads of people, the footprint isn't any larger than a big wagon, manufacturers still sell a lot of them in Europe.

so based on the centre display, the 2 vents are on or under the display (i suppose when you configure it with that 15" display ?!

A cheaper but premium alternative to the 7 seater Q7 and XC90 would be welcome by many. Lucky for Americans, the XC90 is priced much more aggressively than in Europe.

Yes. It's amazing how much more you can add cost per unit when you cut back in things like say....Engine development.

Pretty much like the M Division. Same inline six in everything under 5-Series and the same V8 in everything above. Booring!

Actually a difference. One is reducing costs by sharing the engine across each platform.
The other has been found of deliberately misleading because of their lack of thorough development.
