As it should, it did come out in 2009 (perhaps earlier outside the U.S.)

The current A4 (B8) began production in October 2007.

That just looks like the current model with a new MMI set up. Which makes me wonder if the rumours about Audi has delayed the A4 and has gone back to work on the interior post W205 reveal are true?

I hardly believe that that is the interior of the new car. The shell is an old A4, might be an MMI test car.

There have been major delays at Audi because of the managment change, disagreements about design, and general executive power plays. The A4 was affected (Q7 was affected the most).

Jokes aside, there seems no likelihood for a 2014 launch so I altered the thread title. My guess is that we'll see it in September 2015 in production guise.

Good call... I believe the article's time line is off by some margin. September of next year seems like a reasonable estimate in my opinion.

They probably delayed the car due to the necessity to change the final design of body and possibly interior. I feel that Audi have lost their way with the designs of their cars lately, they are mostly evolutions of current models (current A4, A6, TT and most likely R8)or copies and resize of other models (A8, Q3). They need a radical change in their grill and headlight designs as well as the back lights. I am starting to see alot of similarities with certain Skoda and VW models with Audi's lately, especially profile look of the front lights and bonnet and the back light design/shape.

Looks like a good render of what I would think the new A4 will look like, just an evolution of current model with some elements of A6 and A3 saloon.

For the most part you could be looking at an A6, I know this is Audi's way but I just wished there was a bigger change in store.

Hope there are some big changes as well, I'm in the hunt for a audi or bmw next year. I would have considered the s3 but it doesn't come in manual tranny. Checked out the a3 interior and it felt cheap. The s4 looked so sick though

You are not the first person I have heard that from yet most like myself reckon its easily best in class, is it the simplicity of the design that makes you think this way?
