GLE [Spyshots] 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe

The Mercedes-Benz GLE, formerly Mercedes-Benz M-Class (designated with the "ML" nomenclature), is a mid-size luxury SUV produced by the German manufacturer Mercedes-Benz since 1997. In terms of size, it is slotted in between the smaller GLC and the larger GLS, the latter with which it shares platforms.
Screen shots from a person that follows my Instagram account....I will assume he took vid... No other credits I could find...Q8Piston... Appears to be ML Coupe or MLC w/ most swirly camo removed... Looks like the MB Hard Plastic cladding is still in place and painted " Desert Tan" The removal of the swirly camo didn't do much for the MLC's figure.... :-) Thanks PalBay

To debut in Moscow in August? :)

Upcoming Mercedes-Benz MLC-class spied testing
ML-class based BMW X6-fighter to debut in Moscow in August
Just a few weeks after the debut of the Mercedes-Benz MLC in concept form, prototypes have been spotted testing in Colorado earlier this month. The MLC is meant to offer packaging similar to the BMW X6, combining the SUV shape of the ML with a more coupe-like exterior design.

The MLC will make its public debut at the Moscow International Motor Show in August of this year, a location that is perhaps indicative of the target audience for this upcoming crossover. The crossover will be positioned between the GLK-class and the ML-class SUVs, and it is expected to offer just a bit less room on the inside than the ML.

Codenamed C292, the MLC-class will reportedly go on sale during the second half of 2015 and will likely feature engines carried over from the ML-class. The MLC will be manufactured in the U.S., at the Tuscaloosa, Ala., plant, alongside the ML-class and the GL-class. The MLC will borrow the ML-class' mechanicals heavily, though at the same time Mercedes-Benz promises "very dynamic handling."

The MLC-class prototype in the photos is moderately camouflaged, though with its debut looming next month it does appear largely ready to be seen in pre-production form, sans grille. Don't be put off by the BMW 7-series-style hatch; a number of commentators have observed that it is likely wearing something on the trunk to throw off automotive spies. Other shots of MLC-prototypes featured a much more tapered trunk design, which is most likely how it will appear in pre-production and production form once it is revealed to the public next month.

If the ML-class engines do carry over directly to the MLC, we are likely to see a 3.0-liter diesel V6, a 3.5-liter gasoline V6, a 4.6-liter gasoline V8 with twin turbos, in adittion to the likely AMG variants. In concept form in Beijing, the Coupe Concept was equipped with a 3.0-liter diesel V6.

^ True. And this article claims Paris in October for the regular version, hinting at a top of the line AMG lateron, perhaps? :)

Mercedes-Benz ML Coupe spied testing in U.S.
Design to mirror the Concept Coupe SUV
The Mercedes-Benz ML Coupe / MLC has been spied undergoing testing in the United States ahead of next year's launch.

Mercedes-Benz's delayed answer to the BMW X6 will materialize next year with the arrival of the ML Coupe, a follow-up to the Concept Coupe SUV. The overall shape of the car will closely mirror the X6 and Mercedes-Benz plans to attack the Bavarian competitor on all fronts as an AMG version has already been spied testing and getting ready to rival the X6 M.

Engines and platform will be sourced from the regular ML while the design will essentially be a toned down version of the aforementioned concept, sans the frameless windows along with revised bumpers, rearview mirrors and more production-spec wheels.

An official reveal could occur in January next year at NAIAS in Detroit, with sales to begin by mid-2015.

I would say Detroit 2015 also. I'll be there! I hope we're talking the ML400 and ML550 Coupes for the U.S. all with 9G transmissions. Would be nice if they made them the ML450 and ML550 with 362hp and 449hp respectively. That would be more fitting since these are supposed to be sporty variants.
