Some of the younger folk might not remember the E-type. I do and had the pleasure and displeasure of owning a 1970 vert. It was the best and worst car I ever owned. When it was running, it was exceptional fun. It was also the most unreliable car I ever owned, leaking parctically every known fluid to mankind. Drop-dead gorgeous though, especially for that time.
If Jaguar had deep pockets and healthy financial statements, they should have adapted those small coachbuilders like Eagle and others .. mass-produce their work and make it affordable. Those cars are timeless.
Singer is a similar case for Porsche lovers, Mechatronic for Mercedes. And I am sure everyday there is someone new coming to this new Restomod era. Restomod is going to hunt unique car collectors, it will flourish mark my words. Anyone can grab a brand new Ferrari, Lambo or whatever. But those restomods, are the customer's own signature. Quite unique.
