it is smoother looking than the SLS but i still think the SLS will have more presence on the road (and definatly not topping the presence of the SLR)

I agree.
Thing is, the designers left some "headroom" for the SLS and there is reason for it.
The GT is a great design but it`s not quite as expensive looking as the SLS.
