Just as a reference, The SLS Black Series is the best from Mercedes. The 997 GT2 RS is the best from Porsche. This video should tell you everything you need to know.Ok, brother. Lets wait.)
Don't forget that when the SLS first came out in 2010, in terms of driving ability and performance it was even better than the 911 Turbo, having beat that car in many German comparison tests. Don't underestimate AMG ability at bringing out a worthy 911 challenger. I am sure this GT will progress on the SLS driving ability even further and with performance to match or possibly beat it. The 911 may have met its closest challenger yet!! We will see when the car is launched apparently at the German F1 Grand Prix in July 2014Couldn't of said it better myself. The weight of the 911 alone gives it a huge advantage, but the story doesn't end there. The 3.6 or 3.8L flat 6 will also make a difference. I'm very interested to see what this car is going to be like, and how that boosted turbo 8 does.
As far as AMG GT is concern I will hold my opinion until I see the real car but claiming it to be the most beautiful Merc ever is ............ Ah! I am speechless.![]()

Even the z28 was faster than the 911turbo s at the track, so be sure, this car will own the 911
"best of nothing"
New details are starting to emerge about the highly-anticipated Mercedes AMG GT.
Set to be unveiled later this year, the model will reportedly feature a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that develops approximately 520 bhp (387 kW). It could eventually be followed by an entry-level model that produces 480 bhp (358 kW) and a range-topping Black Series variant that develops up to 580 bhp (432 kW). The entry-level model will reportedly arrive in 2016, while the Black Series variant is scheduled for 2018.
Interestingly, the AMG GT could be available exclusively as a coupe. Nothing is official but one source told the Autocar "There was some initial thoughts about doing a roadster variant but, at this stage, there are no plans to do an open-top version" as the SL can fill that role.
The AMG GT is slated to be produced for six years before being phased out in 2020. When this happens, Mercedes could introduce a new SLS AMG which rides on a new platform that utilizes carbon fiber.
Yep its scary how quick time goes by, I still remember when the 2000 New Year countdown came up and people worried about computers crashing and the whole world turning upside down from computer dating all messed up!!! Now we talking about 2020 and its only 6 years away!!! Maybe they will change there mind about scraping the car just before 2020 and will look back on this time and say sh!t we need to get a new crystal ball reader!! LOL2020. I'm like, yeah right, talk about crystal ball gazing into the far future. Then I realise that 2020 is only six years away. Scary.
I believe it has been an incredible tactical error to call this a 911 fighter. The 911 is close to perfection after decades of refinement. While the SLC will undoubtedly be a compelling package, I think it will come off second best in most comparisons.
