CLA [Spy Shots] 2024 Mercedes MMA model (CLA) first pictures

The Mercedes-Benz CLA is a series of luxury subcompact executive cars manufactured by Mercedes-Benz since 2013. The first generation was a four-door sedan based on the platform of the W176 A-Class and W246 B-Class compact cars, marketed as a four-door coupé. In 2015, Mercedes-Benz expanded the CLA family to include a station wagon configuration which it markets as a Shooting Brake. As the V177 A-Class sedan took its place as the budget-conscious sedan, the second generation got longer and wider than the W205 C-Class.

My guess is that the ICE versions could be without light bar and with a classic pass thru grille. Light bar and black panel grille are EQ/EV design theme

Fixed the body lines and proportions, added bigger wheels and got rid of the unnecessary star elements. Looks much better like this imo, but so again, now it looks exactly like the previous generation CLA. It shows how uninspired the MB design team is. Same old design elements for the 10th something year now.

Still horrible design and proportions....no one can fix that, the car is absolute to short for such a shape.
The only one good looking 4-door coupe is the C219 - pure perfection and an everlasting future classic.
Everything else is a joke...

Yeah this is pretty much what I would have done. The light bar just looks cheap. I expect they'll facelift it away in a couple of years, but man what a disappointment.

It's not even that bad, it's just bland.

Though, I don't believe having new design languages just for the sake of it, at least make it look good.
This looks like the final piece in the EQ-series design disappointments. Hopefully we can move on from this crap.

There are car markets like China or South Korea, where the success of a car depends nowadays, whether cars have shit like "Can the AI of my infotainment system draw Winnie Pooh carrying 100 kg of wheat and run 10 km on mountains without switching shoulder" or karaoke, 10 million selfie cams or whatever shit westerners might find useless.

One company in Germany , located in a town named after our canine friends or a Simpsons character, where besides the Designer Outlets and 2 Döner shops there is nothing special, found that out in a hard way lol.
I understand, but i dont understand why China people like these, they have no design taste language?

The back light bar seems the light bar from the basic/Led Audi A5, but i feel that on the A5 fits better because of the wider deisgn language
But again, i will wait for the final product and of course the in real life "meeting" with this.

Goes to show that "Rims Matter".

Thankyou for a "correction" well done.

Some cars are just unfixable 🤷🏻‍♂️. Doesn’t matter how much you change the design elements, if the proportions are bad, the car is going to look bad no matter what.
The 2 main problems with these type of cars are the segment and them being FWD. Bigger models like the 4er/8er GC, CLS and A5/A7 look gorgeous because they’re longer, and the FWD proportions are not present.
Simply, the FWD + Gran Coupe formula just doesn’t work. I can’t name a single model that does look good from any manufacturer. Correct me if I’m wrong.

That interior is probably the worst I have seen from Mercedes, and one of the worst from Europe. Ive sat in many chinese cars, and all are better looking than this… what a shame…

It´s not about taste or whatever, it is more about that cars in China are one of the few places that could be considered as a refugium there. Also here is thing: Traffic there is also extremly dense. You can´t do much with driving dynamics or great performance, so many buyers there expect a lot of tech gadgets, since they are used to them.

Ok, but every teenager are now, and for a decade "were born with a gadget in hand" i understand the need for moving forward...but i dont understand the layout and the design language for those screens, for that interior choices, for that so many stars on the car...i mean refugium but come on..i also hated when the first Bmw X2 was release because of the extra 2 more emblems on the C pillars...but this...this is taking to far and i hope others will not follow. Whats next? every absolutely every stars to be illuminated no matter if its inside or outside...

The Concept wrap around infotainment screen design was so much better than the production version. I find the gold colour plastic center console and door colours a bit too over the top and look cheap.

Mercedes had the perfect opportunity to launch a new steering wheel design on the CLA instead using the old design twin spoke with the dreaded capacitive buttons.

I personally really liked the C257 CLS as well, especially in AMG 53 trim. Sadly, it was a relative flop in terms of unit sales, despite its IMHO stunning looks.

Another few sneak peaks of the blue car.
