BRZ [Official] 2022 SUBARU BRZ (US Market)

The Toyota 86 and the Subaru BRZ are 2+2 sports cars jointly developed by Toyota and Subaru, manufactured at Subaru's Gunma assembly plant.
I might be in the minority but I’m blown away. Easily one of the best unveils of 2020 and an affordable car worth celebrating the joy of driving
No, I think I'm with you along with a few others. The kicker which most people miss is the price point, which I expect, will be about half of a base model Cayman in the US. That's a lot of driver's car for the money. NA, flat-four, 7500 rpm, RWD, LSD and your choice of manual or auto - there's nothing else like it at that price point.

Very boring and disappointing design, the previous model looked much better in my opinion. It looks too much like some other cars without been original and definitely not exciting. The Interior is also ugly, that infotainment screen looks cheap and the dash appears to have a lot of hard plastics.
Interior looks like dated early 2000s - retro styling like this, whether intentional or not - is a very bad idea.

We have the MX-5 with 184 ps and 200kg lighter and it is even cheaper, but this is a roadster and doesn’t have a boxer engine.
But I agree that we should be grateful that someone is producing a car like this.

Cars like this one in this day and age are great news, no matter how they look. It's does look a bit soft, but you won't buy it for its looks.

It's a shame with the interior though. It looks like no effort has been given at all.

It's good they have increased power and torque both by 15% combined with a lowish weight and good traction of RWD, it will have decent performance. Maybe 6 to 6.5sec from 0-100km/h will put it in the same level as the Golf GTi and some other warm to hot hatches. Judging by the excellent dynamics of the previous model as well as what Toyota have achieved with the Supra chassis, this car will also probably be a great drivers car.

I am sure there will be alot of riced up kits to make this more Fast and Furious than luke warm like it currently is

No idea what he is saying...but nice driving footage.

I actually like this car, I love the looks and the care free, inexpensive nature of it. There isn't anything else like it on the U.S market except for the Miata which is toy small. I'm actually hoping the rumors about a Lexus version are true, I just hope it isn't a hybrid, but a turbo instead.
