I am certainly warming up to the new generation, the styling overall is much more cohesive and elegant than the previous model. The most impressive part of the styling is the gorgeous rear end with 911 style rear lights and on the Turbo that unusual split rear spoiler that comes out in a most unusual way. The profile looks much more sleek at the rear as the window line at the D-pillar now is flatter and also with big wheels it looks fantastic like no other 4dr saloon on earth.

The interior mixes luxury, sportiness and technical modern elements in a very nice way. The center console up front with those lower slatted vents reminds me of the vents in the older 928. The large center screen looks well integrated and I like the use of a large slab of wood (or carbon fibre) with aluminium metal surrounds. The ventilation controls with the black shiny touch panels looks high tech and reminds me of a high end hifi music system. The rear compartment center console in my opinion looks even more impressive than the front. I also love the rear vent design that are integrated in the B-pillar.

The highlight for me of the interior has got to be the design of the front and rear seats, they must be the most stylish and comfortable sporty seats around.

I am slightly disappointed that this car has to weigh so much about 1900 to 2000kg, although it is on a par with its rivals but I was hoping that it will be more like 1800kg.

Next BMW M5 and Panamera 4S will be similarly priced.. I'd go for the Panamera..

^Without even seeing that M5 and knowing that it will be faster, i still go with the Panamera.
No 5er can be this.. or infact no BMW period.

Fingerprints on the black surfaces will be a problem..tsk,tsk.
Anyway I like. Its what the Panamera should always have been... A four door 911.
Bring on the Sport Tourer.

From what I have heard from people who are developing the new M5 they say it will set significant standards in Lightweight materials that will greatly and further benefit Performance and dynamics. Hence the reason for its upgraded V8 as it already is an excellent engine.
It will be interesting to say the least. But then by then we should have Turbo S and GTS Panamera.l

700-HP PORSCHE PANAMERA TO GET 918 SPYDER PERFORMANCE HYBRID TECH
0f91ee60002a3d01382963bc31746086.webp

With the well-earned exception of the 918 Spyder, the hottest version of any Porsche you can buy says “Turbo S” on the back of it. In the future, though, that may not always be the case. Thanks to the 918’s high-performance hybrid technology, the fastest trim levels of future Porsches are going to have the word “hybrid” pasted to them, starting with the Panamera.

The Panamera Turbo S, of course, isn’t going anywhere. After all, it wouldn’t be Porsche if they reduced the number of model variants. If you drooled a bit on the pictures of the all-new Panamera, you might’ve obscured the Turbo S badging on the car. It’s here, it should have 580 hp to give it a nice bump over the 550-hp Turbo, and it’ll drive circles around many a performance sedan (the non-S Turbo did a 7:38 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, same as a 997 GT3 RS). Then it’ll run and hide when its big brother arrives.

Described to us as a 918 with a back seat, an even-faster Panamera is coming soon. Matching the Panamera’s twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 with the 918’s hybrid technology will yield power output in the ballpark of 700 hp and torque likely around 800 lb-ft. Our source doesn’t know the final name yet, but we’re guessing something logically German like Panamera Turbo S Hybrid. Or maybe they’ll give it a number like they did the Boxster (928 has a nice ring to it).

This won’t be the only hybrid Panamera, though. The standard supercharged V-6-powered Panamera S Hybrid will make its return in the near future, and its job will still be to get better fuel economy than the rest of the model line.

In a funny way, hybrid technology will bookend the efficiency spectrum of the Panamera, and you can bet your bottom Euro the future of more Porsche models will look very similar. The obvious next candidate is the mechanically similar Cayenne SUV, but expect the technology to make its way into the sports cars, too. Rumors are already circulating about a hybrid variant of the next 911. Bank ‘em, because it’s only a matter of time.

BMW 750Li F01 weight : xDrive : 2135 Kg
BMW 750Li G11 weight : xDrive : 1990 Kg

with the carbon core technology the different is 145Kg but BMW said the different is 190 pounds = 86KG

if BMW bring this technology to new BMW M5 the weight will be 1800 Kg (BMW M5 F10 1945Kg) and this great

new BMW M5 600 HP or plus with xDrive and new Gearbox all wheel steering like 7-series it it will be the fastest sedan no doubt about that

BMW M5 F10 was faster then Panamera Turbo around Nurburgring but when Turbo S comes it was the fastest sedan

so the new M5 when it comes it will be the fastest sedan but when Turbo s or Turbo hybrid comes it will be faster

BTW M5/M6GC CP they are not faster then old Panamera around Nurburgring

No chance in hell the M5 will be faster than the Panamera.. It will have problems with the turbo..
then there is turbo S and this rumored 700hp one..the game has moved on.

I think it will be the first time ever for a saloon car (stock, of course) to exceed 700 bhp.....Would I be right in saying that, anyone?

Believe Tesla claims 762Hp for Model S P0D with "Ludicrous" mode.

They can really achieve the performance they want. The 918 has a V8 with similar power than the Turbo S version. I think the power will be over 700 PS. Getting 150 PS from electric power sounds quite standard these days.

Not a proper sedan like its rivals, it drives like a sports car at 2,000 kg additional to the driver and co.

A 928 could've been the right Porsche many desire to own at 150k ~ 200k with the downsized engine.
