Not a proper sedan like its rivals, it drives like a sports car at 2,000 kg additional to the driver and co.

A 928 could've been the right Porsche many desire to own at 150k ~ 200k with the downsized engine.

Thanks for the comparison pics :)

Let's face it, nobody is going to buy a Panamera as a chauffeured vehicle. This is the Porsche for the middle-aged guy who always wanted a 911, he can finally afford to own one but he now also has a wife and children *CRISIS!*

No matter, the Panamera will allow him to sell the idea to his wife that he bought a practical "family car". Everyone's happy!

Indeed looks tight in the rear for a car of this size.

For the visual comparison, is it always SWB or do we have some LWB (I feel like we have some LWB versions shown...) ?

Standard equpiment 4S Diesel:

Steel spring suspension including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM)
117.000 euro car and airsuspension doesn't come as standard... I feel personally offended by Porsche and don't mean that as a joke. Allow me one last comment on this matter: pricepolitics like these make me never going to buy a Panamera.
By the way, looks like Porsche customers are paying VW's bill.

When you go on the configurator you have to buy the air suspension ( i think there is something wrong with it though)

Anyway i still feel they were pretty generous with the equipmet for being porsche, for eg i thought they would charge you for navigation..lol.. and LED lights..

The guy in the picture looks quite tall ........maybe it's not as tight as it appears.

Perhaps he is a little on the large side, but he should be not much taller than 186cm judging by the amount headroom above his head (do bear in mind that this Panny has no sunroof so it has maximum headroom). The driver and passengers do sit much lower in the Panamera than a S Class, hence his rather skewed posture.

The new Panamera is very expensive.

If he ever gets the chance to drive a 911, he'll despise the idea of owning another Panamera in the future :D

They will probably get the LWB Executive version out in a year or two depending on sales, which is close to $320k last time I checked with the dealer.

Sorry to go slightly off topic, but have we heard anything about the Mercedes-AMG GT4 coupoon (coupe saloon)? I hope it will have unique styling inside and out.

Mr Tobias Moers will have to load it up with all the luxury and hi-tech bells and whistles in order to compete with the new Panamera Turbo.

That turbo is simply mind-bending... The question is, how would I possibly cough up the 150K for it?
Since you appear to have a Delorean, perhaps you can travel back in time and sort something out.

Just love the sporty yet elegant details in the interior....

The only thing I would change is that I would have made the instrument cluster full TFT, rather than with an analog Rev counter

That's not a good comparison. You're comparing LWB cars to the SWB Panamera.

The more I look, the more I see, the more I feel it's flawless. [/sweepingstatement]

I really like the interior, it looks very clean with all the "touch" buttons (I don't know how to call them) on the center console.
However, after having driven cars with touch screens, I find it a potentially dangerous feature, as you need to take your eyes off the road, to look at which button or command you touch. I really love the looks, but I'm not sure about the functionality.
In older cars, after driving them a bit, and knowing the commands by heart, I really loved being able to press the buttons I wanted without taking my eyes off the road.
How do you guys feel about the practicality of this new way of interacting with cars?

19.00 hrs "Dinner with mum". That makes is very symptathetic again. :)
After configuring 4S (petrol) I came 'till € 137.000. I guess a RWD 6 cylinder diesel should be so around € 15.000 - € 20.000 less expensive. Perhaps it isn't as bad as I thought after all.
