Its a good choice for the E53 but I do believe AMG will need to bring out an E63 model as well. The W213 E63 S was popular and was very well received by the motoring press, so I don't believe they will let the BMW M5 hold the monopoly and be dominating the sales in this sector.

They’re screwed tho because there is no V8 or even higher output I6. A 4-cylinder E63 would be worst car they’ve made since the R-Class.

The M177 still exists, it won't be EOLd due to its application in the SL and GT. The engine bay should be more than large enough to accommodate an emergency drop-in of a V8.

I meant it wasn’t planned. I know the engine is still around. Emergency drop in is still some years to market. If they even did that.

I'm not sure how much extra validation would be needed for a V8 version, but if they started now, they could have it ready by 2026.
Ultimately it depends on how much time AMG need with the chassis.

And I've already detailed my ideas for what AMG could do with low volume ICE sports cars that sit alongside Mercedes' mainstream EVs. They have a whole platform. Would be a shame for it to be used for just 2 cars.

Without a doubt, the demand of the C63 is always greater than that of the E63 and yet they did not do it, so it indicates that even less did it with the E....

An AMG E63 as a 4 cylinder would not sell at all. People would rather flock to an inline 6 E53 model or better still to the V8 M5 than buy a droning crap sound through the speakers E63 that will still weigh 2.5tons. AMG would be the laughing stock of the press for making the worst mistake in its history. Maybe that is why Tobias Moers left as CEO.

I'm going to be getting the E450. My question is does this come standard with the embedded Mercedes logo in the grill or does it come with the rather plain looking grill with the stand-up Mercedes chrome piece attached to the hood?

I prefer the grill with the embedded logo but I don't want a sport suspension or low profile tires.

Also are RFT's available for the car? I don't love them as tires but they've saved my behind more than once over the last 10 years.
