6 Series (G32) [Official] BMW 6er GT (G32)

The BMW G32 is the fourth generation 6 Series, which went on sale from 2017 to 2023. The body style of the G32 is a 5-door fastback and it is marketed as "6 Series Gran Turismo" (replacing the previous generation 5 Series Gran Turismo).
Test Drives and Media launch coming up.

Compared to the 5er GT it's a lot sleeker as well as slightly longer. But does not compromise the core attributes of the 5er GT.
I like how the marketing team kept using the big words "The First Ever" as if it is a ground breaking vehicle.

Somehow I like this car. It looks much better than it's predecessor, seems to have a certain présence on the road and in the right ext-int colour combination even a looker. If you want something else and stand a bit out of the crowd, it's a good alternative imo.

I think someone had to come up with a marketing post line that defines the GT but went to the bier haus instead. Went into the office the next day.... and said the first thing that came to mind. Silence...then clapping...cheering...Ja!! Love it!
Champagne Sweetie?

Maybe it's time to re-allocate some money from the Marketing Dept and increase the budget of R&D, Design, etc. Not that those other departments really need it, but with some of the crap marketing lately, I am starting to think they are getting a little too fat off the land. If I may suggest, maybe a dedicated sports car from the good folks over at M?

(not bloody likely. Hell, even van Meel quashed that idea. *sigh*)

So changing the model number from a 5 to a 6 makes it an all new vehicle? Good grief......

No one mentioned anything about an all new vehicle but please do show me the previous generation 6er GT. Oh wait, there isn't one. Don't let your dislike of this vehicle make you look stupid.

C'mon Braaf. He doesn't dislike it, nor is he stupid.

It's an all new name for a car that's being updated. Kind of silly indeed.

This happens all the time with other manufacturers as well, why is it an issue now? For the record I didn't call him stupid.

Just out of curiosity, could you give some examples? :)

Many examples.

Ladies and gentlemen....may I present......

...the first ever......

...ALL NEW.....

Volvo V90 Cross Country!!!

No really, it's all new and never before seen. The three cars in the back don't exist.

"A Continuum of Space in the Luxury Klasse"
There...Money well earned.
;)

One example is the Mercedes CLK which became the E class coupe.

People here seem to be missing the point. The 6er GT is the new version of the previous 5er GT with its name changed and nothing more to it. Its a freaking name change. Deal with it.

I'll concede that "all new" is properly applicable, but calling it "first ever" is what annoys me. Yeah, it is true in the most technical sense, but it's very much a cynical marketing move.

But all that marketing brouhaha aside, it is a good-looking car and am seeing its appeal.

Some say I looked stupid well before that post braaf.......
