How dare you say it does not innovate??For some strange reason, M-B has been oddly reminding me of some sort of bizarre embodiment of the 2008 sub-prime global financial fiasco. The once stellar brand equity, technological/innovation acumen and illustrious history the "prime grade" assets...diminishing mechanical/electronic/material/fit quality, increasing gimmickry and tacky afterthoughts and loss of focus of what actually "makes" a Mercedes-Benz the sub-prime junk. Bundled into the derivative aka "Mercedes Benz Group AG", the sub-prime junk has significantly dilluted the prime grade assets, eroded the real and perceived value the entity as a whole.
