GranTurismo [Official] 2022 All-new Maserati Granturismo

The Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio are a series of grand tourers produced by Maserati, succeeding the Maserati Coupé and Spyder.
The situation at Maserati is getting worse and worse with time. How do you still have Gran Turismo’s from 2024 on the lots midway through 2025? Now they’re basically giving them away, but still no one is buying.

The notorious last gen of FCA Maserati’s completely ruined their reputation here in the states for being cheaply built, troublesome reliability-wise, terrible resale value, and having dated tech vs competition, even at introduction.

The last gen Gran Turismo, though it had “true” Italian roots, are nightmare to maintain, and the interior falls apart over time. You can pick one up, even MC Stradale form, for basically nothing. But with that, you will inherit a ticking time bomb.

What’s even worse is that things aren’t going to change anytime soon. Making things more complicated is that these stupid prices came about with hopes they’d be able to compensate the outsized investment it took to update the dead-end Giorgio platform.

Both Alfa and Maserati’s future product development is in shambles. I’m glad they finally woke up and are trying to rationalize the two brands but wow it’s going to take years. Both of those brands are constantly shooting themselves in the foot, waiting for it to heal, then shooting it again.

Wow. At 105-109K it makes sense imo.

That was the starting price range back when the last gen was released and it was attractive for those who wanted a more exclusive GT from the German/Brit offerings. Obviously, inflation is playing big a factor, but it should not be $100k-$120k (double) more expensive in just one generation, meanwhile looking extremely similar to its predecessor on the outside.

This and the SL are having a close fight on who is more overpriced, and they are both suffering consequences on the second-hand market. SL63’s should not be $200k+ either.

I wonder what Mercedes will do. I figure a price drop, replace the SL43 with the SL53 and a price reduction. Pure fantasy.

I imagine that those few who may have been potential customers are now irreversibly skeptical about brands for which the death knell may soon be sounded. Both Maserati and Alfa Romeo find themselves in the most dire state of affairs. And attempted revival efforts are looking all the more like exercises in futility.

Yeah I don't understand why in the world are they concerned about super cars and the business is in such shambles.

The SL is about 60k$ to expensive, the Maserati 100k$, but as you say, after a couple of years you can see the real difference regarding the build quality between Maserati and Mercedes Benz.

Rumored for the SL, nothing official yet.

Funny thing is the I6 for the SL was in the original launch plans.

I have to wonder how Ola still has a job. MB has been a bit of a mess since around the time the W223 was delayed a year. So much cost cutting going on even though the assumed benefits never materialize due to endless product planning changes, botched launches, and warranty claims skyrocketing due to a lack of QE and QA.

Allegedly "very robust" purchase/lease order flow for the new MMA CLA may be another saving grace for Herr Källenius. But yes, he is sure to go down in history as "one of the less successful M-B CEOs". I would suspect that should the upcoming MB.EA vehicles, the electric C-and E Class sedans and SUV derivatives, flop, his fate will be irreversibly sealed.
