The Maserati Ghibli (Tipo M157) is an executive car produced by Italian automobile manufacturer Maserati. The car was unveiled to the public at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show.

They had both the Q and the Ghibli on display here in Dallas yesterday at the auto show. The Ghibli is smaller than I thought inside. Everything is wrapped in leather or carbon fiber, but the Chrysler switchgear and head unit are obvious, and that shouldn't be. Anyway, this is probably the best looking car in the middle segment. The interior is bare, lots of tech missing compared to the Germans, but the key is how it looks, drives and sounds. Very pricey too, great design, but needs some finessing IMO. The Quattroporte they had on hand had the prettiest blue/cream interior. Despite their obvious flaws I can see why these cars are selling like hotcakes.

I agree. There is a quartz colored model roaming around my neighborhood for the past few weeks. Have seen it parked a few times. It's actually stunning compared to the German rivals. It has PRESENCE and is without a doubt the best looking car in the segment. I took a peek inside and thought it looked luxurious and up to snuff in spite of the Chrysler switchgear. The looks alone (and that exhaust note) I think are going to get people into this car.

Maserati Unveils 100th Anniversary Neiman Marcus Limited Edition Ghibli S Q4
Designers of the Dallas-based luxury specialty company Neiman Marcus joined forces with the House of the Trident and the hideously long name above is the finished product of their combined efforts. With prices starting from $95,000, the limited run Maserati 100th Anniversary Neiman Marcus is $18k more costly than the Ghibli S Q4.
But the special touches brought by Neiman Marcus, as well as the plethora of standard equipment that comes with this model makes the price difference worth it. Being a Ghibli S Q4, buyers are offered a twin-turbo 3-liter V6 with 410 hp and a hefty 405 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque, with power sent to all four wheels via a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox.
In terms of standard equipment, the Neiman Marcus special Ghibli S Q4 is offered with keyless entry and remote start, power rear sunblind and pedals, heated windshield nozzles, heated steering wheel and seats front and rear, as well as parking sensors. But now comes the exciting bit of the equipment list.
Neiman Marcus will make only 100 units, all of them finished in Grigio Maratea, a special exterior paint that contrasts nicely with the 20-inch forged alloys, red brake calipers and the black surround grille that gives the front fascia an elegant but menacing look.
As for the interior, customers of the Maserati 100th Anniversary Neiman Marcus Limited Edition Ghibli S Q4 (yes, that's its official name) are met by a sea of bespoke luxury. A Bowers & Wilkins 1,280-watt audio system, serialized badging on the center console, a lot of contrasting stitching for the tan leather and inox sport pedals round off this limited run package. Deliveries are to occur by the end of the year.

I like the exterior its a good looking car especially the front. From the back it looks slightly annonymous, almost like a Korean car (Kia comes to mind). Ok I havent sat in one yet to judge the interior but looking at the pics doesnt look in the german league but not bad at all

Known for their over-the-top tuning kits, Mansory has decided to tone it down considerably for this Maserati Ghibli customization program.
Mansory’s work caters a very specific niche of customers, but with their latest Ghibli package should have a much broader appeal as the styling tweaks are subtle and dare we say tasteful. Work started at the front fascia where the high-performance sedan from Modena has received a two-piece spoiler lip made from carbon fiber and available with optional air ducts. There’s also a new rear trunk lid spoiler along with a custom diffuser which have all been manufactured from CF.
It now sits on Mansory’s Trident large 22-inch alloy wheels with 255/30 R22 front and 295/25 R22 rear tires and comes with red brake calipers while the interior - not shown yet - has a sports steering wheel, aluminum pedals, lots of leather, illuminated door sills and a choice for either a wood or carbon trim.
To go with the visual enhancements, Mansory has elaborated some power packages as the Ghibli S with its 3.0-liter V6 was upgraded from 410 PS (301 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque to 480 PS (353 kW) and 640 Nm (472 lb-ft) while the 3.0-liter V6 inside the Ghibli Diesel was boosted from 275 PS (202 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) to 310 PS (228 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft).
There’s no word regarding performances, but the power hike should make the tuned Ghibli S faster than the standard version which needs 5 seconds until 62 mph (100 km/h) before topping out at 177 mph (285 km/h). It should be the same story with the Ghibli Diesel which in stock configuration does the quick run in 6.3 seconds and can reach 155 mph (250 km/h).

The husband of a close friend has one. Is a very nice car, probably the most beautiful in class, and I was surprised how well put together and how luxurious it feels, I was expecting something much cheaper. The leather at least, feels much, much better than the one used in Audi/BMW /Mercedes. The ride is not that good, though.

Why so glum, chum?
With two black tapes on the hood resembling the eyebrows of an angry person, the Maserati Ghibli facelift prototype manages to attract more attention because of its camouflage rather than flying under the radar. Caught by the spy camera in snowy Sweden, the sexy sedan was preparing for what is shaping up to be a light refresh judging by the amount of disguise used. It’s covering the front and rear bumpers along with the grille, which by the looks of it is going to look a tad bit more aggressive. While the taillights have been carried over from the current model, expect them to receive a nip and tuck on the revised version.
We are not expecting any changes underneath the hood considering the Ghibli was updated for last year’s Paris Motor Show when the 2017MY debuted with an extra 20 hp for the biturbo 3.0-liter V6, now with 350 hp (257 kW). It’s enough punch to allow the car run to 62 mph (100 kph) in 5.5 seconds and max out at 166 mph (267 kph).
It’s the same story with the infotainment system taking into account the desirable sedan has already received the 8.4-inch setup with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. Maserati also went to the trouble of throwing in some extra noise insulation to boost cabin refinement, while extra safety systems were added as well to sweeten the deal. Perhaps the facelift will see the introduction of GranLusso and GranSport trim levels to replace the existing Luxury and Sport packages as it was the case with the Quattroporte. Fresh upholsteries, alloy wheel designs, body colors, and other novelties might be on the agenda, but nothing to write home about.
Expect Maserati to take the wraps off the discreetly facelifted Ghibli before the end of the year, quite possibly in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Also this year, Maserati will allegedly phase out the GranTurismo and GranCabrio, but replacements are not due until at least the end of the decade. On the flip side, the lovely Alfieri is still on the agenda.
