That is the real sticking point, the Cayenne starts at $112k, and the Cayenne S at $150k before options, with a drive away price of close to $170k. That is seriously pricy, at least $20k to $40k more than the BMW and Mercedes equivalent. At my part of town, I would say 80% of the Cayenne I see is the standard diesel version, driven by young families.I reckon you’ll balk at the Cayenne pricing. It’s infuriating that Porsche Australia is getting away with highway robbery. I suppose why not, if there’s enough buyers to pay a premium for a car severely lacking in standard tech and equipment.
