C-Class (W205) [Official] 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Facelift

The Mercedes-Benz W205 is the fourth generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class which was produced by Daimler AG between 2014 and 2021. The W205 C-Class was preceded by the W204 C-Class and superseded by the W206 C-Class. The fourth-generation C-Class was available in sedan (W205), station wagon/estate (S205), coupe (C205), cabriolet (A205) and long-wheelbase sedan (V205) body styles.
I honestly find this completely shocking. My appraisal of the AMG C43 is that it has very precise and direct steering. Further, if anything I'd like the spring rate to be softened as the ride is actually a bit crunchy (the M340i excels here). Most of the reviews I've read seem to back that impression up.

Anyways, always interesting how experiences di...
I know. I was expecting to like the car but the steering wasn't to my liking. Jumping into a 992 afterwards certainly did help lol. It was similar to three years ago when my GF and I were set on buying the GLC but during the test drive neither of us looked very engaged or happy.

Back to the C43. It's good car if your expectations of it because of the AMG badge isn't too high. The dealer didn't have the C63 demonstrator available but I will give them a ring again tomorrow. I'm starting to gradually test drive cars I might buy in 3-4 years.

The E63 is also on my rader but the finance figures don't look great because of steep depreciation so it might be better to buy it used.

I have driven the C43 and didn't like it.

The steering is vague, too light and doesn't give 1:1 control of the car. It was like driving a W203 C55 AMG. In comfort the car was easy going to the point that you wouldn't have a clue that its an AMG, switch to Sport+ and the engine comes to life.

Unfortunately the ferosiouness and eagerness of the engine...

Surprising given most reviews praise the steering and improved ride.

Update. I just learned that the demo I drove that belong to a sales director was not the face-lifted C43. This explains why my revew wasn't favourable as the face-lifted version has improvments in numerous areas.

It's a nice subtle update. I like the front of the Exclusive line with the Classic grill and enlarged lower intakes, it looks better than the AMG line in my opinion. The saloon still looks great, the graphics on the rear lights look much better. Wagon also looks good with the new revised headlights. Interior only slight changes but it's more modernized with digital instruments and new enlarged (much better looking) middle infotainment screen. Although I am slightly disappointed why they didn't bring it out with MBUX. Can't wait to see the specs for the new engines, this is where the biggest changes will occur and put the C-class finally on same level as3 series and A4
