The best 911 designs in the water cooled era and the best 911 technically. What a combination. The 911 basic shape can continue for another 50! years. (y)

^I honestly thought it's 0-200 time would have surpassed the likes of the M5/E63/RS6, though I suppose this is just one test and anyhow none of these would ever see what way the GT3 went on a back road.

Auto Motor und Sport performance numbers:
  • 0-100 kph: 3,6 s (claim: 3,5 s)
  • 0-200 kph: 12,1 s (claim: 11,4 s)
  • 400 m: 11,6 s @ 197 kph
;)

Has AMS historically recorded "slower" acceleration times than other magazines? Just curious about it, as most P-cars accelerate faster than Porsche claims when American car magazines do the testing.

Not that I'm that upset about it......0-100km/h in 3.6 seconds is still pretty damn fast for a 3.8L flat 6!

AMS and Sport Auto has slower times because of their different testing methode (they test with 2 persons onboard).

American magazine results are far from reality because of their 1-ft-rollout methode. For instance this 3,6 sec 0-100 km/h time is about 3,4 sec 0-60mph and 3,2 s 0-60mph with 1-ft-rollout - tadamm, it's already faster than what Porsche claims. :)

Everything is just more in the US - acc. times are quicker - drag times lower, dynos higher.
