6 Series The BMW Concept 6 Series Coupé

The BMW 6 Series is a range of grand tourers produced by BMW since 1976. It is the successor to the E9 Coupé. The first generation BMW E24 6 Series was available solely as a two-door coupé and produced from 1976 to 1989, when it was supplanted by the larger BMW 8 Series (E31). When the 6 Series nameplate was revived in 2004 for the second generation, the BMW E63/E64 6 Series, the coupé was joined by a convertible body style. The third generation F06/F12/F13 6 Series debuted in 2011 as a coupé and convertible, and a sedan variant known as the "Gran Coupé" in 2012. When the F06/F12/F13 6 Series ended production, the "Gran Coupé"/coupé/convertible models shifted into the more upmarket BMW 8 Series (G15) nameplate. The fourth generation 6 Series, the G32 6 Series, debuted in mid-2017 and is offered only as a fastback body style to complement the BMW 5 Series (G30) sedan/wagon.
Joke post I hope???
You and Artist are being fantastic Mercedes boy trolls again here in this thread. Utterly pathetic.

Anyways.......behold, the most beautiful BMW I have ever seen, inside out.

What are you talking about?
I didnt even mention mercedes..and i posted 1 or 2 posts about what my opinion is of this car..
If thats trolling then i guess everyone is a troll cause everyone dislikes some car..

Its not beautiful to me.. end of story..

PS
One question i have though if someone can answer..is : what platform is this made on?

Munich will launch the 6-series convertible (F12) first in March 2011; the 6-series coupé (F13) based on this two-door arrives in September 2011.

Lol..dude do me a favor and go have a cold beer or something.

Same one as the 5er, 7er and 5er GT.

They're all based on the same platform.

What? u guys mean the 7er and 5er has the same platform?..NEWS to me.

^yeah man..thats huge news to me as-well..

So they have like 10 models based on 2 or maybe 3 platforms..
3,5 and 1 platform..

No wonder they make so much cash:)

^Lol yeah..so the upcoming 5er coupe will be just a 6er coupe with different front and rear lights lol...less than half arsed effort IMO.

I think it's an extremely handsome, just-plain-good-lookin' automobile. I loved the 6er GC Concept and I like this just as much. A perfectly segment-appropriate product from BMW. It's as close to perfect as it could be.

I guess thats remained to be seen.. i hope its not though..:)
Platform sharing is smart and nice..no problems there imo..:usa7uh:

Dude what are you talking about with a 5er coupe?
No such thing exists.
But you have no idea whatsoever concerning BMW, so I am not going to bother anymore...

What is half arsed however, is the MB E coupe.

Economy of scales is your friend when it comes to these things. Of course they're not all the same using exactly the same parts, but the modular platform allows to share some principles and parts. And yes, there are two platforms, the smaller one for the 1/3-series and the bigger one for 5/6/7-series.

Please guys, let's try not to digress here. This thread is only about the 6er, not about the 5er coupe or the E coupe.

Well, this car much more conservative, but yep, the lines are perfect, no pointless lines. I quite like the profile, wich let us clear how perfect proportions are in recent BMWs.

BTW, Am I the only one who thinks the worst parts of this car are the Concept ones?. The rims, the small deatils of the air intakes and the kidneys, are not production features, nor the pipes, that look worse for example than the 550i ones.

ABSOLUTELY NICE dispite the small concept things.

SKY, you are absolutely 100% right. This car is downright elegant, superfluous convoluted details such as the rims and tailpipes look odd on this. Oh, I cannot wait to see the production coupe of this, it's going to E-P-I-C.
