6 Series The BMW Concept 6 Series Coupé

The BMW 6 Series is a range of grand tourers produced by BMW since 1976. It is the successor to the E9 Coupé. The first generation BMW E24 6 Series was available solely as a two-door coupé and produced from 1976 to 1989, when it was supplanted by the larger BMW 8 Series (E31). When the 6 Series nameplate was revived in 2004 for the second generation, the BMW E63/E64 6 Series, the coupé was joined by a convertible body style. The third generation F06/F12/F13 6 Series debuted in 2011 as a coupé and convertible, and a sedan variant known as the "Gran Coupé" in 2012. When the F06/F12/F13 6 Series ended production, the "Gran Coupé"/coupé/convertible models shifted into the more upmarket BMW 8 Series (G15) nameplate. The fourth generation 6 Series, the G32 6 Series, debuted in mid-2017 and is offered only as a fastback body style to complement the BMW 5 Series (G30) sedan/wagon.
Maybe we can get them to offer a wider range to choose from than normal.

Of course, they are inclined to charge absolutely punitive prices for their rims if you don't like what they mounted on the car in the first place.

^^^ That´s why they have the "manhole cover" wheel strategy!!
They should put them all at the same price and then see who picks what !!

...or a strategy to sell lots more sets of wheels than cars:

Put ugly wheels on beautiful cars hoping that most will take those off and buy another [factory] set!

Is it just me, or are the coupe photos lagging

far behind the cabriolet's?

I am perfectly OK with the ragtop coming before the coupe, as a spring launch makes this make sense. But we waited a very long time for the touched up studio shots of the coupe, and it seems like more should be leaking out by now.

So no dings for our open air aficionados, but I would like to be seeing more real world photos of the coupe. Wonder what is holding up the show...?

Screw that: Convertible sucks! Let's see the real beauty: The COUPE!! :D

Indeed !

But what I'm really excited about is the production version of the Gran Coupe concept. And, of course, whether BMW top-brass has greenlighted a shooting brake version of the 6 series. The 6 series appears to be evolving into an authentic series with possibly 4 body configurations.

I am hoping that SCOTT27 will be in a position to give us a bit more information on these cars in the near future.

Yeah, a 6er Shooting Brake would be really awesome! Much better than 6er sedan and cabrio IMO!
Also, with 4 configurations the 6er will be bigger than 5er. LOL.
