GLC [Spyshots] Spy Photos 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLC (AKA GLK)

The Mercedes-Benz GLC is a compact luxury crossover SUV introduced in 2015 for the 2016 model year that replaced the GLK-Class. According to Mercedes-Benz, it is the SUV equivalent to the C-Class.
So this GLC will have the 9G-Tronic from the get go? That´s great news. MB should really put the new gearbox on every model.

@Wolfgang why that much power for the 450? I thought MB was using a 370 PS config.

MB fans whenever they hear about 9GTronic.

As someone who uses to drive a car with 7G-Tronic and another with DSG, I think that gif falls short.

I really wish the X3 and the 3er would be as good looking as the blown up C-Class T. Where Mercedes does 2 cars right, BMW adds the 3er GT...

It was not criticism.
But the 3er GT has again exceeded its projected 10% of 3er sales. Expect some people to be watching with great interest especially in regards to hatchback popularity in Europe.

They would sell even more of the 3er if they only would put all the attention on one car getting a class leader instead of the ridiculous 10% of the 3er GT. Now the C-Class is where the 3er was positioned a decade ago. The GLC will get it even easier, the GLK is gone.

It would probably sell more if it was more attractive, but it is the ugliest BMW 3 series model for sure. I would certainly rather buy a 3 series Touring model over that car. The Audi A5 Sportback is a much better looker and that is already an old design but a top seller for Audi.

Mercedes-Benz GLC spied inside and out by WCF reader
Debuts June 17
A prototype of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLC has been caught on camera by a WCF reader.

The GLK's edgy body will soon be retired as the second generation of the model will adopt a curvaceous silhouette heavily inspired by the C-Class upon which the compact crossover will be based. Seen here is a near-production prototype wearing minimal disguise and an interior cabin virtually carried over from the sedan (W205).

Compared to the outgoing GLK, the new GLC will be a little bit bigger since the model is no longer Mercedes-Benz's entry-level crossover as that role has been attributed to the A-Class-based GLA. We've known for quite some time the model will be commercialized for the first time with a RHD layout and will also gain a fully-fledged AMG version which the GLK never received.

Mercedes-Benz has previously announced the GLC will be officially revealed on June 17 in Germany and will go on sale this fall.

Special thanks go to Alexander for sending us the pics!

I spotted a difference in this interior and the C! there seems to be some stitching on the material under the center area between the seats! Yay! I really wish there was more differentiation, but understand that this enables them to have higher quality interior cis of the overall cost savings...

it is really crazy how on earth can you put the same interior of the C in a jeep, out of my thinking......that interior is only supposed for the C and nothing else..not a good move at all..

I am really looking forward to the reveal of this SUV, I think it will be a more worthy challenger to the X3/Q5 and now Evoque/Disco Sport. I do like the current GLK, but its too compact and cramped looking inside compared to the best cars in the segment and its long in the tooth now (nearly 7yrs old)

there is no question this is going to be quite the looker, however the C interior carryover issue is something which is going to need to be addressed.

Its a C-Klasse anyway even though it is called GLC it is still a C-Klasse variant. Therefore it is completely logical to use that interior.
If we were seeing a new SLK or SLC ( and do they need one now more than ever) then it would get something similar not the exact same but familiar.

fair enough it is a C-based SUV, however that doesn't mean you go on slapping the exact same interior in an SUV, I mean there is a very big difference between a car and an SUV, this means the outside of the GLC doesn't match the interior.
