All light colored leather car seats get dirty to a degree no matter what the brand is. My goodness what pettiness. Any jean from Diesel or TrueReligion will stain seats really quick.

after 100s thousand miles of testing over the course of three years, i'd imagine those sparking white designo seats would get more than a speck of dirt, its not like the leather going to be filthy at its debut

Well I had quite a few cars with light colored seats and not all look dirty even after years of usage.
I guess they weren't taking care of the seats properly or they are one of the seats that will look dirty because the gaps will always contrast as they will stay cleaner than the rest of the seat thus making the seat look even dirtier :)
This thread is meant to bring "silly" things up... at least that's what I saw during the whole process ;)

Yeah you have to clean them, for me about every 2 weeks. BMW's "Ivory White" nappy leather LOVES to pick up color from Diesel and TR jeans.

One of my friends saw a family driving this car last weekend.... they were allowed to look, but no pics.

As much as I love the Oyster and Almond colors from BMW/M-B, this is one of the reasons I just wanted all black in my F10. With my M-B and it's Vinyl Tex, I was okay with Almond since that plastic is so durable you can wipe dirt off with sandpaper and be okay. With leather, I'm not about to take on the challenge and time/$$ to clean AND condition light/real leather.

So I figured just get black and not have to worry about spots as much as I do simple conditioning from time to time.

and their comments were???

Well, he thought it looked great. They weren't sure about the outside as it was still covered up, but liked the interior. He didn't mention any specific details, it just came up in conversation.... It must be coming really soon though.

The rear looks soooo good !
Wish there was more interior.
Yes that is what I would like to see is more interior pictures even though we have seen some good interior shots of the seats. It seems like they are keeping the interior well covered. I wonder what the deal is with those large pillow-loke head rest in the rear?

^ They're going for that Rolls/Bentley look I guess.

Yep, depending on what you wear they require some attention every few weeks to keep them looking new.

Hello, everyone. I've been following these forums for a few years but this is my first post since I've never had anything to contribute till today. I went to my MB dealer today and asked about the W222 and was told it's going to be unveiled early this year, with European deliveries beginning in Q2 of 2013, and in September for the United States, Canada, Mexico with orders being taken by April.

^^ That sounds right. As to not cause confusion, they will likely show the pics right after the Detroit show, for a Geneva or possibly Shanghai debut, March or April. The S Coupe will come summer and hit the U.S. market by Dec would be my guess. Convertible in early 2014.

It might sound right, but I think we've come to the conclusion by now that dealers know less than we do for the most part...
