The W213 sits behind a W212 at a traffic light.

Looks very classy ..still think the face lifted 212 looks great as well.

That classic grill does seem to look better integrated in the front of the car, the sports grill is also nice but the shutline doesn't look good, it would have looked better if they had it attached to the bonnet instead of the bumper.^ classic grille is a must have imo. With neatly integrated shutlines.
The E class has luxury in mind. Hence there is no surprise that the design is better integrated with the classic grille. Is there a possibility that the exterior shots are released before the detroit motor show on Jan 11That classic grill does seem to look better integrated in the front of the car, the sports grill is also nice but the shutline doesn't look good, it would have looked better if they had it attached to the bonnet instead of the bumper.
the wheels on that silver car..it just needs to be sitting lower

Thanks for this trip down memory lane @Rolf. Absolutely great. Here is something nostalgic, lets compare the new E-class interior to previous models, starting from the W123, W124, W210, W211 and W212 FL.

The w213 is heavily influenced by the w222. Yes it may bear some similarity with the w123, it is purely coincidentalI agree, when I saw those round vents, straight away it made me think of the W123 interior. Quite amazing that the W123 came out exactly 40years before the W213 (designation similar but 1 and 2 swapped around).
I think the W212 they tried to use the W124 as inspiration for the interior as well in some ways.
