The past E-Class models seemed to me to be somewhat different in design while the C-Class and S-Class were more closely related. Kind of like the C and S Classes were brothers while the E-Class was a cousin. Now they all seem to be brothers or sisters if you like.

The W213 E class will also be the first Mercedes where the software of the car can be updated easily, just like the smartphones of today. The new E will be the pioneer in the graphics technology in the automotive industry

From a structural, strength and light weight point of view this design will work, but it will be expensive to manufacturer(due to complex shapes and varying material thicknesses) and may conflict with space and design constraints of the car exterior and interior.

Im willing to bet my most prized nut ( the left one) that BMW won't top this interior for over 6 years.. Maybe and only maybe with the next 7er.

The damn grills on the burmester speakers are more appealing to me than the whole range of cars from most manufacturers.

The new E-class will be offered in six body styles – sedan, long-wheelbase sedan, Maybach, estate, convertible and coupé. A high performance Mercedes-AMG E63, as well as a sporty Mercedes-AMG E43 that will slot in between the hardcore AMG and the standard sedan, will also be available globally.

The Maybach edition will be a global product, and will offer improved legroom and upgraded interiors with subtle design modifications on the outside, unlike the long-wheelbase version which is only expected to go on sale in select countries and will be priced at a premium over the standard.

Maybach edition will be something worth looking into. I am looking forward to seeing it. The w213 e class design certainly have the potential to fulfil the luxury needs of the maybach subbrand

I rekon like the LWB C-Class in China, it will be for the "not enough room for a SWB S-Class in the garage". An E43 AMG? Interesting, I wonder wether that's going to be an E-Class version of a C450 AMG?
