That interior is sick. Best in class easily. I don't see the point of a Maybach E-Class. Just offer a LWB version in China like they do now. A Maybach E isn't going to sell in the U.S. or Europe IMO. E43? NO. Please NO. E300, E350, E400 etc and then a E450 AMG Sport and then a E63 AMG. What the fcuk is an E43 lol? NO.

The damn grills on the burmester speakers are more appealing to me than the whole range of cars from most manufacturers.

I agree with you about the speakers grills in the new E-Class.
Thay seems to convay a level of premium richness that even surpasses the new BMW 7- Series in design.

Smh, i always look around in disbelief when I see people on this forum raging about the 7ers interior.. BMW fans I understand as they are the equivalent of famished children when it comes to anything exciting interior wise, so for them it really is amazing, it has ambient lights and perfumes also a little iPad you can detach.. But even sane people claim that it's somehow amazing, I can't believe my eyes when I read some shit like this. It is such an poor effort that it hurts me, I find it offending, for their latest and greatest that will set the tone for a new generation and they give us that??
Just look at the vents on the above pictures, they couldn't even bother to color match them with the pillar!
Now I've seen the spy pics of the 5er interior.. ( no further comments needed)

I have Burmester in my C-Class. The grilles are stylish but the sound does not live up to a higher level. The extra money I paid went straight down into the shareholders' pockets. My B-Class has an equivalent sound with standrad stereo. I hope the E-Class has better sound.

I see the speaker in the roof have taken the place of glasses compartment. It does nothing for the place is too small for sunglasses. I have the remote control to the garage in there. In Europe they do not sell rearview mirror with integrated Remote Control to C-Class.

Open-Pore Black Ash for me, please! That with a Diamond Stitched leather interior! The Light Brown Ash isn't too bad either

I'm sick of Burl Walnut though. A bit disappointed to see it carry over.

The most interesting to me is the designo Flowing Line trims. Not super excited of those as of yet, but I'll hold my 2 cents till I see it in person. They do seem to emphasize the curvy nature of the interior a bit better.

The Burmester in mums W205 C sounds fantastic IMO. Better than the HK in our W204, W212 and my current F30 and better than the B & O in my S3. I guess sound quality is subjective.

I'd like to see a base model E in black. I had a base C loaner today and it was nothing special in the slightest.

Arguably the most of all. Some people have hifi installations costing literally upwards of half a million euros, and the sound is pretty much the same as a 5k set. Cables costing 20k? Sure, why not.

From a structural, strength and light weight point of view this design will work, but it will be expensive to manufacturer(due to complex shapes and varying material thicknesses)

A 3D printer won't have any problems with these shapes

Nonsense. They fit the interior design of the E class perfectly (and they indeed look great), but they would look slightly retarded in the modern design of the 7er.

And it really has to be compared to BMW all the time here? Damn... Talk about having a complex. But I can understand the deep lust for the new E class after generations of crappy interiors in this car, so I am happy for the fans. Finally a couple of Benzes worthy of the badge again interior wise (E, S, S coupe)

I get and got your point. My point is that it's not better, it's different. Looks gothic or something, it doesn't fit BMW's clean style. BMW's attention to detail in the G11 is just as good as the E, no matter how you twist it.
