You're not entirely wrong, but I doubt the Nintendo Switch will use the full-fat Orin. There's no chance they'd want to pay for it.

But yes, the rest is marketing. Its just an Nvidia SoC.

Yeah the same architecture as Switch I mean.

And off topic, but Switch 2 on that SoC is going to be a beast according to latest reports. It's a fantastic chipset IMO far beyond what AMD has on offer.

So this red, it's actually already been used by Mazda and a couple other brands, Mercedes-Benz didn't take it earlier, because the pigment was too expensive. Apparently.

Yet they used it back in 2017 for this:

And it's not that much different than Cardinal Red which has been in use since 2014 (started with W212 facelift, but AMG GT below because pretty):

Well paintwork pricing and I've seen the tags in the United States of America have gone so high I guess like these other "luxury" and "bespoke" works they'll just ramp the prices up accordingly.

It’s not just that they are overpriced, their massive depreciation shortly after purchase greatly outweighs any cost savings made with using electricity instead of fuel.

That being said, the slingshot performance is a great selling feature.
Mercedes is heavily subsidizing leasing, which takes out the worry of depreciation. I don't know why anyone wouldn't least based on how quickly this market is evolving. You should also look at the depreciation for an equally priced S-Class. Not exactly minor. Expensive cars lose a ton of their value out of the gate.

600 mile batteries are just around the corner and once that happens....?

When I looked at the i4 they also recommended that I lease it…

I don’t need a 600mile battery, but it could also mean lighter cars. They’re so heavy. VW can’t even make a California version of the ID Buzz due to the weight of the battery.

I can't even fathom someone buying an i4 to be honest. Lease is the way to go for this car.

You might pay a little more for your lease but in the end no sane person is going to drive an i4 for 7-8 years and then have a near worthless piece of outdated crap (I can only imagine where EV will be in 8 years)

I'd love to see the number of buy vs lease, but how to even search for that...

Yes they are extremely heavy, but honestly we have to start and accept it. These latest EV cars all are fat, yet pretty much every review of every obese car I read/see mentions how good they all drive regardless.

Good brakes, extremely low center of gravity, endless instant torque and stuff like rear wheel steering all make these cars feel and drive great.

That's one of the unspoken great things about Teslas. An i4 is heavier than a Model S and about 1000lbs. heavier a than Model 3. Mercedes models break scales. Mercedes has claimed they're going to be making lighter cars starting with this MMA platform CLA but we'll see.

Does it matter though? The new E class is a half ocean liner and yet gets high praise for its dynamics which seem to be better than ever before.

Same fort an i4. Noone in his right mind will say a Tesla Model 3 drives better.

The issue with heavier and heavier cars is the extreme problems it will cause to road infrastructure in the long term, which will require more and more maintenance.

As a Brit, I shudder to think how much worse our roads could get if everyone's cars weigh over 2 tonnes.

Meh, I don't think it can get much worse than it already is over there.....

Here in Holland everyone can drive the president's Beast and still be fine. Just don't cross any bridges anymore.

I think there is a significant amount of people that would say a model 3 performance handles better than the i4. You can’t cheat physics. It’s really the only nice thing people have to say about the Tesla comparing the two. Example review: https://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-reviews/comparison/2022/bmw-i4-vs-m4-vs-tesla-model-3/

The i4 drives better when driving more sedately, but the BMW is supposed to be the real sports sedan here.

nice rendering but it certainly won't be like this, for example the headlights which except for the bright star look a bit like the Golf based on spy photos will be more tapered and there won't be a window frame

If it looks like that last one or just similar, the 2er gran coupe is in trouble.
