I am pretty sure that Grand Sphere was well into pre production stages before they pulled the plug and abandoned the entire design philosophy altogether. They might wheel it out one day just like the VW Phaeton II (The VW Empire Strikes Back)

I am attempting to establish a "bridge" of sorts by way of amalgamating the "Radical Next", Bauhaus harkening C Concept design with that of the Grandsphere concept. IMHO, the Grandsphere was and remains Marc Lichte's masterpiece. Highly cut wheelarch openings properly filled with large diameter wheels that are flush with the bodywork. A crucial focal point. The sheetmetal surfacing also provides more tension and is far less convoluted than many of the Lichte serial production examples of designcraft. In that aspect, perhaps the Grandsphere is a bit of a prelude.
 
So obviously not "mine"...

I'm a big fan of this sugar-design image of a future A6 etron sedan. Maybe a less vertically accentuated and a lower, more horizontally accentuated front "sensor pad/shield" could benefit an otherwise absolutely stellar piece of AI-assisted designcraft.

From a marketing point of view it is a dilemma. Replace the 4 with a 6? Would the 6 still be pitched below or with the GKL-Klasse?
The 8er was part of the GKL-Klasse alongside X7 and The 7. I doubt they will do a large coupe as the market has vanquished. A 6er in below The GKL would not really work either. It would be premium for what the segment is for. The 4(i4) must continue.
The 4/i4/M4 will more or less have the same facia as the 3/i3/M3.
