I like it!
But i don't like two things
- the lack of an engine with more than 4 cylinder;
- and a trend that i see in other manufacturer, like Peugeot, that is the migrating from physical knobs for the HVAC system and the radio, moving them to some kind of "touch system".

Is the same opinion that have my fiancee, and she owns and love her V70 D5.

A part from those considerations, they did a good job!

Looks great. although i see Audi in the front lights, Mercedes in the front grille, and BMW in the tail and Audi in the side profile. Nothing wrong though, it's executed well.
Nice clean interior too.
Perhaps there's a bit of Chinese influence there - the Chinese are just super at mimicking. From LV bags to a stealth jet.

Even if I happens to like the cars they make, this is powerful. Volvo (cars and trucks) today give us some of the absolute best marketing in the automotive world.

Not at all like when I was a kid: "This is a Volvo, just buy it, it's brown, who cares?"

He's a very special person, yes. But look at the previous one, that for the XC70. Global acclamation, if not for the cars, so for the marketing. The videos are great.

@mr. Robert, I happen to like those old "marketing" pictures. They bring back memories, so thanks for posting. In the late 70-ies/early 80-ies every Volvo Estate was darkgreen, darkblue or darkbrown (in the Netherlands that is).

Well, perhaps that has been a Volvo issue; you could get it in any colour, as long it was darkgreen, darkblue or darkbrown

Going to be Sweden best selling Volvo once again.

Summary of the reviews from Autocar and AE.
1) Both S90 and V90 major on comfort and refinement and not on agility or sporty driving.
2) Engines especially the higher powered versions have mixed reviews as they mention rival engines are more refined and sound better due to been six cylinders.
3) The 8 speed auto is not as sleek shifting as rivals gearboxes.
4) The car is very refined and quiet
5) The ride is good but some roads cause the suspension to get busy especially on larger 20in wheels, they recommend sticking to 17in/18in for better comfort.
6) The interior was praised for its looks, quality and ease of use of the central touch screen.
7) The semi-autonomous Pilot Assist works well.
8) The V90 is practical and makes a good return for Volvo for large estates, although load capacity not as good as previous model or rivals, especially the E-class.
