Very very nice, I like this new S60 alot. It is a miniture S90 but looks even better with its sportier appearance and great proportions. Rear lights are certainly different, not sure I like them but they are striking nonetheless. Interior looks fantastic, probably close to class leading IMO, the seats look mega comfortable.

It helps that Volvo's platform doesn't allow for something bigger than an inline-four so the front can be more compact. Whereas VAG's platform is designed to accomadate motors larger than a 4 cyl.

La nuova Volvo S60 è la prima vettura del marchio Svedese che viene prodotta esclusivamente nello stabilimento americano di Charlestone (Carolina del Sud) e da lì esportata in tutto il mondo.

Basata sulla piattaforma SPA, la vettura presenta proporzioni da Trazione Posteriore, pur essendo trazione anteriore o integrale.

Fa discutere la scelta di non offrire una configurazione Diesel per il modello berlina (disponibile, invece, sulla V60), che parte così con il base di gamma T5 (2.0 litri Turbo) da 250 CV già che rispetta le normative Euro6d-Temp grazie all'adozione del filtro anti-particolato, a cui si aggiunge la T6 (sempre 2.0 litri, ma turbo + compressore volumetrico) in grado di erogare 310 CV .



Step successivo tocca alla Volvo S60 T6 TwinEngine AWD, che grazie alla combinazione del 2.0 litri Turbo e della macchina elettrica, crea un connubio ibrido da 340 CV.

La punta di diamante è la S60 T8 TwinEngine AWD che utilizza la base meccanica della T6, ma con la macchina elettrica, che porta il totale a 390 CV.

Chi volesse una vettura maggiormente incentrata alle prestazione, può scegliere la nuova S60 T8 TwinEngine Polestar Engineered che, assieme a molte migliore di telaio, sospensioni e freni, fa crescere la potenza complessiva da 390 a 405 CV.

Come fascia di prezzo, possiamo ipotizzare un 5000 Euro in meno - in media - rispetto alla V60 di pari motorizzazioni (Diesel escluse).

La nuova Volvo S60 misura esattamente quanto la V60 (4760x1850x1430 con un passo di 2.87 metri)

Oh, God. It's absolutely stunning. I like it better than the S90. I'm glad they didn't go for a sportback shape, the proportions are spot on. I'm gonna take a test drive ASAP and buy one... in ten years... when it depreciates down to my income level.

Bags of class. The R design and polestar engineered models needs the glossy black front grill instead of the chrome one. Doors has the same problem of the XC60 lacks any kind of trim which makes it looks cheap.

The R design looks gorgeous. I can't get over this cars interior, Volvo seats must be the best on any car, they look so comfortable and supportive

How will the current trade conflict influence prices for potential EU customers ? Could Volvo Cars' Gent, Belgium plant eventually become an additional production facility for the new S/V60 ?

Gorgeous looking outside, superb seats inside eventhough I guess the rear central one will be pretty uncomfortable (rear seats seem even more sculpted than in M5 !).

The tail light design works better on the S60 because they don't wrap around the side and there's boot lid spoiler. When I see the S90 it get the impression that the front half was designed by a different person than the rear. There is no flow.

The V60 looks really stylish and classy, the interior is fantastic, I really like the dash and the seats.
