Saw this one today, my first one on really big wheels, it looks fantastic.

Disagree Tarek. I find it far more compelling in photos than it is in the flesh. It's still too wagon like in it's proportions and has to be specced just right to look proper. And the interior is subpar in finish. Not good enough if you're serious about taking on the Germans.

I agree it’s pretty spec dependent just like the new X3 which has to be ordered as an M sport or it looks like shit, the interior quality isn’t any better than the XC60’s either, it’s also not as functional. The same criticism also be leveled at the Mercedes, Alfa and F-Pace, only the q5 can hold it head up for primo interior functionality and quality.

We shall agree to disagree. The dash is fine but the doors and transmission tunnel belong on an econobox. The Germans are far more satisfying in their finish.

Also I don’t buy the whole practicality/functionality angle. The boot space is 45 litres less than the Germans and the steep rake of the rear shield destroys much chance of gaining much more capacity by stacking things up, which the X3 and GLC are great for.

I saw my first one in traffic today, a D5 in Bursting Blue, with R-Design stuff. It looks bloody amazing!

What bothered me, though, is that the DRL will turn off when you use the indicator, so at some point what I saw in my rear view mirror, was two horizontal T lights, one white and one yellow.

During the past week I have seen two for the first time. It looks good but the XC90 is easier to spot as it has greater presence.

Regarding the DRL and indicators, the same is true for many cars.
