Golf [Official] Volkswagen Golf VII

I like it, it is quintessential Golf - a sensible hatchback and a gentle evolution of the existing design. At the same time, the sharp creases give it more character than before and even the bland A3.

The "bland" A3 you say...?
Seriously...stop hating on Audi. It's enough now. We're not in the 90's no more.
The A3 is the more sportier and richer Golf, we all know that.

Sorry Tumbo but on this occasion the A3 definitely plays second fiddle to the Golf as does all of them, the A3 is a very good looking car but not as good as the Golf (IMO), as for the A-class well it's design is just trying too hard to be hip and the less said about the 1 series the better, good car dynamically that's been burdened with the worse face imaginable.

According to VW Sweden, the prices will remain the same as the old car. Good!.

BTW when its the next Scirroco coming?

According to the configurator 1,4 Bluemotion 140 bhp version has a fuel consumption of 5,0 or 5,3 liters manual as opposed to 4,8 liters as in the press release.

Considering that the old 1,4 122 bhp version which weighed 70 kg more, had normal resistance tires, did not have a start/stop function or cylinder deactivation had a consumption of 6,0 or 6,2 liters manual.

Golf VII 1.2 TSI 85hp is 16.975 euros in Germany (same as Golf VI 1.4L petrol 80hp), Golf 1.4 TSI 140hp 24.175 eeuros, Golf 1.6 TDI 105hp 20.725 euors, and Golf 2.0 TDI 150hp 26.925 euros.

So, when Lexus LS or Audi play safe and do little evolutions of their designs, they are boring and unimaginative, and when VW does to the Golf, is great?

The Golf needs no radical changes, its design is perfect, while Audi is still searching for it about details. I only can't accept the overdesigned headlamps in every new Audi:S Lexus have already found a recipe for their design, they are mixing some design ideas from Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi + some chinese bling bling details and it's ready for sale:)

The VW Golf is a solid car with a clean, simple and elegant design. It's the iPod Classic in the automotive industry.

Stop hyperventilating just cause someone doesn't share your enthusiasm for your favorite brand.

I am not hating on anything. I actually like the new A3, I even voted for it in the poll we had when it and the A class came out first. In the few short months since then the design has worn on me, a danger with playing it so safe. Now I find it bland in base trim, which for a fare comparison to the base Golf here, looks like this -

Yes, bland is definitely the word than comes to my mind. I still love the interior though.

Please stop regurgitating what Audi want you to believe, the Golf has always had a superior ride and handling balance than the A3. And the money you'd save buying a Golf over the equivalent A3 could be spent on a remap, making it sportier again than the A3;)
And to me the Golf is just a "cooler" car ( at least that's the general perception in Ireland anyway )the Golf is such a wonderful, classless, snobbery-transcending car(y)

^100% right, the Golf has a superior ride and handling in at least the last two versions. Why this should be is confusing because I would have thought they share quite a bit during development.
