It's by far the best SUV at the moment, as is almost everything from Porsche nowadays, except maybe the Macan which is based on the old Q5 platformThis car is slowly growing on me. There is one thing I don't like though, for a car that cost this much, why does it still have gloss black plastic trim across the dashboard and the doors?
For the past years it's been a brilliant do-it-all family car with competency on twisty roads. It's an utterly fantastic car if you can afford to spec it properly at 15-20% on top of the asking price AND stomach the very high fuel consumption. It's by far the best SUV at the moment, as is almost everything from Porsche nowadays, except maybe the Macan which is based on the old Q5 platform
I tried to spec one up with essential options like all the driving assist programs, keyless entry etc, actual interior trim ( those plastic trims are a disgrace), extended leather....ended up costing over $190k AUD BEFORE on road........that is about 30% more expensive than the Mercedes and BMW equivalent. For the past years it's been a brilliant do-it-all family car with competency on twisty roads. Thankfully the air suspension is standard on the Cayenne S, along with Porsche active suspension management system. The new Cayenne is even more expensive to spec that the previous ones, as the fancy chassis options like electric anti rollbars and three chamber air suspension make the car special.

Thanks for the correction, yes the base price for the Cayenne S starts at $155k AUD, which is $10k more expensive than the GLE 43.Standard in Australia maybe. Cost option in some other countries (UK and Germany for one, and I would guess most other countries in the world), in which case it cannot be said to be "standard". It's just that certain markets choose to include it in the base price. You're still paying for it.
Thankfully the car looks old and boring inside out..i couldn't care less about it.
Why thankfully, so you are not tempted to purchase one?

I just heard a rumor on the new GTS engine:
- all new 4L V8 naturally aspirated (not based on Turbo engine)
- 350 kw+
- will be used in other models
I hope it’s true...
That would be a shocker.- all new 4L V8 naturally aspirated (not based on Turbo engine)
