Why, o why do they mess up the new models/facelifts with their gigantic side mirrors...

PS. Don't agree on them both been 1 and 2 for best looking cars out of germany.. Have you seen the Audi RS4 or the BMW M5???
The A4 is nice, but slightly boring in my eyes. And the 5 series regarless of the model has always been ugly (Headlights and rear light mess the whole car up). Now both drive very well, but the looks hmmm...
The CLS and S-class are truly my favorite looking 4-door cars to me. Just my O. Especially in Black.

I believe the CLS other then the S-class is the best looking 4 door car to come out of Germany.
Hmm, yawn, what was that, yawn... ok. WHATEVA!CLS is a really ugly car and just look weird....![]()
I agree with what you say but that also adds fuel to the fire that the E65 is 7er is the best car in its category because everyone, including mercedes benz, has copyed its design inide and out!!!

Haha, something cought my attention here!
With the M156 V8 poping I thought it was a malfuntion or miss-fire!
The AMG SPEED SHIFT G7 now incorperates a function which blips ( a slight interruption) the throttle during up-shifts
This is why the V8 pops and crackles, a unique characteristic!
adding a little emotion. You can here it in this video.

watch others copy this in some form in the near future!![]()
All true, except you don't really need throttle-blipping in automatics. The viscous coupling in the Torque converter already smooths it out for you. The only reason to have an automatic do throttle-blipping is for the sound effects and the race car feeling.
In a manual it is almost a must for smooth down shifting, cause there is a direct mechanical link between the driven and driving side. Also if you don't do it with a manual, even during normal driving, do it, cause it will help your transmission last much longer.
