CLS [Official] Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class (C257)

The Mercedes-Benz CLS (initially called the CLS-Class) is a series of executive cars produced by Mercedes-Benz from December 2003 to August 2023. The original model was a four-door sedan based on the Mercedes E-Class platform, marketed as a four door coupé. An estate (shooting brake) model was later added to the model range with the second generation CLS.
I doubt it's armored. I mean they didn't even bother to change the wheels, not to mention it has frameless windows.

That particular CLS 53 has a level III-A armor.

The car was not armoured at the factory. Mercedes-Benz dealers in Brazil do provide amour platting services if you're interested when purchasing a new Mercedes.

The car is for sale in a dealer called "Auto Bunkers" specialised in sale of armoured cars. It's an one owner 2019/2020 CLS 53. The car is for sale for 599,000 Brazilian reais, which are equivalent to U$$ 122,927.

Sorry for going off-topic here, but check out this armoured M6 Gran Coupé.

Anyone know how much of an improvement driving assistance package is compared to the pre facelift?
Also, if the CLS, E and GT 4 Door are getting MBUX, will the G wagon get it this year? :)

Wow it really transforms this car, and the wheels look stunning

The Prior-trademark "riveted on" arch flares are not exactly "organic", but still...stance and rims are terrific. The C257 can be the most eye-arresting automobile. I, for one, am a bit saddend that it will be going the way of the dodo bird. Can the EQS possibly match the C257s' beauty ? Color me "highly skeptical".

The CLS in real life is a really desirable looking car, it looks much better than in pics or videos. The shark nose front gives it a nice amount of aggression that was totally missing in the previous version. Rear with the triangular lights actually really works and the car is low and sleek,

Its most beautifull Mercedes in my opinion but, AMG GT4 door is its rival and CLS will probbably go to history and GT4 will stay..

Is there any info on the exterior/interior colors on that CLS53 in that last video? It's the best spec I've seen on this car. I can see a new W223 S63/73 in that same spec. It would be really hot. A current S63 Coupe or E53 Coupe on those same colors. Anyone have any info?

Facelifted Mercedes CLS Caught Hiding New Bumper Design

Back in October, we saw the first-ever updated third-generation CLS prototype undergoing tests in AMG CLS 53 spec, wearing the same light units as before but with camouflaged tape all over its front bumper.

Now we’ve got a non-AMG variant to show you, trying to hide that very same area. A close look does however reveal that the vehicle is equipped with the carmaker’s AMG Line package. As for those LED headlights, they’re the same as before.

Whether that’s because no changes are coming to the light units, or the prototype is simply wearing the old ones to throw us off its scent, is something we’ll find out in the coming months. We expect a full unveiling by mid 2021.

It’s also possible that Mercedes is just playing possum with not just this prototype they sent out on the Nurburgring, but also that previously-mentioned CLS 53 model.

The reason we say that is because in 2014, when they introduced the facelifted version of the second-generation CLS, Mercedes gave it a completely restyled front fascia (new headlights, new grille, new bumper), and a darker shade of red for the taillights.

Inside, there was a new steering wheel and a larger infotainment display, and we can expect more of the same with this facelift as well. We’re referring to the new split-spoke capacitive steering wheel that we got the chance to try out while reviewing the facelifted E-CLass.

Otherwise, we don’t expect many other changes, certainly not from a visual standpoint. Technically though, the updated car should get Mercedes’ latest MBUX infotainment software.

Looks like all the new grills will have the mini three pointed stars instead of the diamonds... This car needs major help in the rear...
