I think it's just a stylised Letter "L" as for LONG. Not my cup of tea but who cares.

MB has copied BMW and smeared a piece of snot on the C-pillar. God only knows why. It looks ridiculous.

This is the best looking LWB E-Klasse I've ever seen. Compliments to the designteam.

Not feeling it, I think they did a silly one with this car. They used the exclusive design of the Maybach S-Class of the rear quarter windows just for a boring china-only L model, makes no sense to me. I personally think a Maybach E would have been great, it would have outlined the importance of the E-Class for MB even more..

This long wheelbase E-class looks majestic and really elegant as a mini Maybach S-class look a like. The size of this car is only 50mm less than a standard wheelbase S-class (5068mm vs 5116mm) but it has a longer wheelbase (3079mm vs 3035mm) than the S-class so it must have supreme rear legroom.

FInally Did a test drive yesterday in London. The E220D SE AMG trim with the works. The Diesel engine has improved dramatically - much more refined than before and quick to respond to the accelerator. The interior is very nice as was the ride - but to my utter disappointment, I wasn't blown away. It was great but not enough to make me pull out the cheque book on the spot. gutted

For me, the trimmings behind the rear seats (i.e. the rear shelf) looks a bit mediocre and cheap.

The regular E needs to have the E L version rear seat setup in a smaller version than it would be awesome.
