3 Series (E90) [Official] BMW E92 Coupé/E93 Cabriolet 3-Series Facelift

The fifth generation of the BMW 3 Series range of compact executive cars is designated under the model codes E90 (saloon), E91 (estate, marketed as 'Touring'), E92 (coupé) and E93 (convertible). The model was produced by BMW until October 2013 and is often collectively referred to as the E90, E9x, or occasionally, the E92.
How the E92 could have ended looking like

Looks like CS1 or something..... probably not how 3er coupé could have been looking, but the 1er coupé

At least we still have the M3 as a pretty E92 :( This FL is one of the worst of recent BMW memory. It's trying to be something it is not, and it shows. The front is messy.

1) the FL ruined the front. It's just awkward now
3) LED dlrl appear not to be standard.
3) THANK GOD they didn't change the front of the M3 with ugly lights and ugly grille :bowdown:

I love the FL. Much better than the aging front of my 335i convertible. It was starting to show its age compared to the A5 and E Class, but now it is back on top in terms of sophisticated style and athletic appeal.

They're most likely standard in the USA, but not in Europe. Option code for the LED package is 5AK (around 300 EUR) and includes all the LED tech in the headlights.

Best regards,

I think I´m starting to agree with klier. And I´ve noticed another detail, I think the FL E92 kidneys are bigger than the F10 5er ones.

Could it be an option on M3 too? Or is it simply noy possible to get LED lights on the M3?

Unfortunately, that option isn't available for the M3. I thought for some time that at least the DRLs could have been changed to LED, but the Geneva pictures finally refuted that.

Those lights are too big. While I like new bimmers (F01, F10, E89...) this one is IMO step backwards in terms of design. Pre LCI E92 with M package is perfect.

Yes, to me this maybe is the worst facelift I've ever seen coming from BMW. And facelift literally, because all the other changes to the E92 are beautiful. It's just that new front, with more overhang included :(

The E46 coupé facelift was very sloppy in the front too from my point of view, so it appears BMW is keeping with tradition: make the front of the facelift 3er coupé less good each gen!

yep history repeats itself..
The last 3er Fl sucked and kinda ruined a good look..
And so did this one..

I think the E46 Coupe FL gave the front a nice touch with those headlights, wich, in fact, have inspired every new BMW front since them. The rear wasn´t that good, but I really think this LCI is far worse than the E46 one, period.

Saw the FL for the first time yesterday. It's actually far better than it looks in pictures. The new backlights look awesome and the front is quite nice with the M sport pack the car had....

Anyways, here's some pics of the M3 in Frozen Grey Metallic. Very nice:
