6 Series (G32) [Official] BMW 6er GT (G32)

The BMW G32 is the fourth generation 6 Series, which went on sale from 2017 to 2023. The body style of the G32 is a 5-door fastback and it is marketed as "6 Series Gran Turismo" (replacing the previous generation 5 Series Gran Turismo).
Gee wiz who would buy this turd, it is a total disgrace to the 6-series badge. It still has that ugly rear end like the 5GT and the front does not look pretty at all.:banghead::clown:

The old GT offered more luggage space and passenger space than the equivalent Tourer. It also offered a couple of the key benefits of an X3 or X5, those being a semi-command driving position and ease of ingress/egress, for people that don't want to drive an SUV or don't need the ground clearance the GT can still offer these benefits. It remains to be seen how many of those space benefits will carry over to the G32 from the F07 gien they've made it a little bit sleeker.

Another selling point over the X3 and X5 was better leather, seats and interior quality. We will soon find out whether the interior of the car is more similar to the G30 or whether it's a G11 "light".

The interior looks great though, you'll see. What we can say is that the GT looks better in darker colors, and not white. You'll see
Shouldn't a car just look good? No justification or explanation needed? If they designed something beautiful it wouldn't matter the color. They need a serious shakeup in their design dept.

How many of these did BMW sell? There must be a reason they keep on making them.

Over 150.000 units in the 7-year life cycle. So, approx 21.500 units per year in average (max. 26.500).

BMW models that are sold in even smaller numbers: 1er 3dr hatch, 2er coupe, 2er cabrio, 4er gran coupe, 6er coupe, 6er cabrio, 6er gran coupe, Z4 roadster, i3 hatch and i8 coupe.

3er GT sells slightly better than 5er GT.

Other niche models like 4er coupe, 4er cabrio, X4 SAC and X6 SAC are much more commercially successful than above mentioned models.

The 6gt will be extreemly good people mover, and when you are inside you dont care how it looks from outside, so it deserves the title THE BEST UGLY CAR ON THE MARKET. There are many ugly cars, but none of them is so comfy.

^ The most buyers are older. They want to sit higher but don´t like SUV´s. Thats what I can imagine.
I see alot of 5er GT's where im from driven by young people, maybe they have bad residual values, so buying 5er GT is a cheaper way to get a newer BMW, if you want a BMW just for the sake of having BMW.

Yes plastic surgery does miracles these days, i mean they are just not young

For me - it's just a "No" from a personal perspective. I'm a tight-fisted 4er Gran Coupé kinda guy who's too stingy to actually pay for one over a 3er. But boy oh boy do I love that 4er GC.
Clearly the GT range has revealed a slightly surprising niche and one that even more surprisingly surpasses the volumes of equivalent GC models. Who would've thought it...

Calling this knödel-on-wheels a 6er, however, is a bloody travesty for sh!t sakes. There was nothing wrong with 5 Series GT!
Double meh with booger (from that dirty little harlot in the 7 Series) sprinkles on top!

If these so-called money spinners had a tangible bearing on the affordability of more mainstream BMWs that I would want to drive, I'd be all for them. But they don't so I could care less about such new model introductions.

I've nothing more to add, rather than:

I am eagerly waiting to read the pr file and see how much creative the marketing dep to justify the 6er name adoption

I will put money on them leading with "THE FIRST EVER 6 SERIES GRAN TURISMO...", like it's some new kind of vehicle we've never seen before.

I'm not sure if it's the colour or the angle, but the hockey still looks really bad. Doesn't share the same beautiful design as the 5 series or 7er.

In all intents and purposes 5er GT was expected to take 10% of all 5er units F10/F11 series. It matched and during some years exceeded that projection.

The 3er GT had the same projection but is averaging 22%.
Due to Europes particular relationship with fastback concepts.

Really? Personally I think the execution of this is much more fluid than that on any other G car so far. One regular criticism of BMW styling since the 4er launched was how aftermarket the air breather looked... this is now totally integrated and I think that bodes well for the 8er styling carrying over from concept to production. If this is where they're taking the design for the next few years I'd be happy. Each to their own.

Personally, I don't think it's a matter of execution.

Back when the original 5GT came out, BMW really wanted to make a van, but they were skeptical. Then they offered a proper van with FWD drivetrain and actually marking it like an MPV! And then the make this bigger van, but they will probably market it as a sleeker, more comfortable 6er.

Bollocks.

It's as much of a van as the 2er AT & GT are. They just need to admit it.

And for a van, this 6er GT actually looks nice enough.

RIP 6-series.

Disappointing, insipid at best. The white one with M package look like a bad render. The dashboard is taken without a change from the G30. Don't see why this deserve 6-series badge, previous 5Gt was more unique.
