6 Series (F12) [Official] BMW 6er Coupe (F13)

The third generation of the BMW 6 Series consists of the F12 (two-door convertible version), F13 (two-door coupé version), and F06 (four-door "Gran Coupé" version) executive-sized grand tourers. The F12/F13/F06 generation is often collectively referred to as the F12. Production: March 2011 – September 2018.
Lol...First BMW folks want the 6 to compare to the SL. Then they want it to compare to the CL.

Lord have mercy..I say compare it to the E-class coupe or CLS! :D

Or we can say both are nice luxury coupes and leave it at that!

I don't get the SL comparison at all. Those two cars couldn't be any different, 'cept for the 2-Door aspect.

In reality, it's closest to a CLS competitor. It follows the same idea: Being a modified version of the mid-size Sedan each brand offers, and a price that's about double. :D

Just back from a business trip and seeing this for the first time, very impressive. Much nicer looking than the outgoing model.

That's inapproriate for a car of this class, would have been good for a 3er or a 1er, not a 6er.

The Concept is actually meant to signify the designer of the 6er's inspiration of water flow to describe the design of the car.

I think it is clever, and the first play on "joy" that I can stomach. Love the coupe.

Hell yea, nothing screams 'ultimate driving machines' like two adult men playing in a fountain. ;)

Not a surprise, we haven't seen the car that drives on rails pitch for a very long time.

Inspired by water...

Yea, but to be frank I actually like the 3er ads the BMW USA has on TV, it actually plays on the car's performance and cult status. It is is these euro ads that are gay as hell. And by gay, I don't mean homosexual gay, but gay as in "take your mom to the prom" gay. :D

I am not in the advertising business. And I know everyone is an advertising expert.

But moving the water feature to two friends competing around the wet skid pad at the Zentrum would have conveyed the inspired by water idea while leaving in place the driving precision aspect.

The music is no help, in my opinion...

It goes without saying that the two guys were flirting with each other. I just don't understand why they wanted to get those car so damn wet!

In terms of visual impact. quite a nice commercial. Both automobiles look quite stunning and IMHO, the water theme is effective in highlighting the cars.

But the music couldn't be more unfitting. Simply incredibly silly. It may have worked in a MINI commercial, but certainly not here.

^^ Concerning marketing, I guess he is....

Next time, they should hire Ken Block or something, to show BMW can be sporty too if you don't want to play in the fountain.....

Also, why a water theme? One is a big RWD coupe, and the other one is a cabrio. Both like good weather and sun. An Audi quattro likes water.
