911 (991) [Official] 2014 Porsche 911 GT3

The Porsche 991 is the seventh generation of the Porsche 911 sports car, produced from September 2011 to December 2019. It was unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show on 15 September as the replacement for the 997.
Finally I was able to see the first pics of the Gt3 RS at an official private event...What a car. Forget the past Gt3 Rs, forget the Rs 4.0. You will be amazed. It is huge, really well planted on the ground. With those big tires (265/325), and a body larger than the Turbo at the rear (21 mm larger), with that huge rear wing , with those seatings...Uaooo....that's more a supercar now than ever..I just copy what I wrote somewhere else :
INCREDIBLY IMPRESSIVE. Massive due to the unusual dimensions for an GT3 (at least I have in memory my past 997 Gt3 that compared seems quite a little car), dynamic from every angle.Aggressive and with an huge wing that let me say for the first time I like despite the dimensions (it is slim enough and this give a general sense of lightness at the rear).Very very nice and deep the orange color. Must be seen by person but at list in the pics, I told myself it is my color. And I love black cars!!!The preformed roof and hood help to give the perception of power and dedicated sportive design…Soo nice.Interiors…: the seating that were shown we don't know exactly if were the standard ones or not but they seemed to me deep enough for spirited driving and anyway double color. The interior portion was orange too, something that remembers me the seating of the Ferrari Speciale. Very very nice combination with same color for roll cage and safety belts. It was shown a normal standard steering wheel and the instrumentation seemed the standard one.No look at the central console or panel doors so I have nothing to add here.At the end? I was worried about the possible look and design. Now I am totally fallen in love and I can tell this car will sell as hot cakes. To calm people as me that probably were waiting for some extra horse power was enough to see on a big screen 4pics…for probably just 3 minutes..I can't imagine what I will feel when I will see the final car on live in less than 2 weeks. And Porsche please now just give us some "extra surprises" because what has to be clear is that the speaker left us to think that this is still possible even if he can't confirm anything of course.
Do you like the car attached below? do you already like this? ok so you are in big troubles because the real pics show a reality 100 times better!!!

The GT3 RS will have an even wider rear end than the Turbo? That will bring the total body widths to 4?

So....the 991 GT3 RS will have more power (500HP vs 475HP) and torque (460Nm vs 440Nm) than the 991 GT3 (expected), but will have a LOWER (8800 rpm vs 9000 rpm) redline than the 991 GT3 (unexpected).

Seems like a lot of the changes relate to better mechanical grip (wider tires, wider track, rear suspension tweaks) more downforce (more wings and aero bits) and weight savings (lighter front boot lid, lighter roof, and lighter rear engine cover).

Even though some Rennlist members are disappointed with the modest power increase of the engine, I suspect the performance numbers will not disappoint and the 991 GT3 RS should be easily faster than the standard 991 GT3 and previous 997 GT3 RS 4.0 on a circuit. Time will tell......

Specs of new Porsche 991 GT3 RS 4.0 leaked

Remember when that die cast model of a yet to be announced Porsche 991 GT3 RS appeared on the internet? Turns out it was quite accurate.

Later we learned the new über-GT3 would have a 4 liter engine and 500ish horsepower with a Magnesium roof and composite front wings.

Now, what purports to be the spec sheet for the new car was "leaked" on the internet.

Here are the main details:

4.0l, 500hp, 460 Nm.

CF reinforced plastic hood and fenders, Magnesium alloy roof.

and amusing for what is, in the end, a street car:

“PIT SPEED” in the centre console switch panel for local speed restriction at the push of a button, e.g. in the pit lane of a race circuit
Sale date in Europe March 2015. Time to sell that kidney.

One week by now and we should discover every detail. On 3th March or even before if Porsche decides to surprise us. Really curious to know what "Ultraviolet" Optional color will be in reality...The other one is Lava Orange as we already know.

^ Has been official for almost 12 hours ;)

I am somehow not completely impressed. It looks far too luxurious and frankly, it's just far too late on the market.

Well I have created that separate thread and the credit goes to @savage-It for the first official pics from all those "12 hours" ago.
