Wow, if Evo say it's a genuine rival, translated to English, that means the Z06 is better.

Nope the GT3 is better according to them, but it was close, read the thread for this comparison posted yesterday. Both cars are awesome.

last news about the RS.
500 hp- 9.000 rpm- same engine as for standard Gt3 but not yet confirmed if 3,8L or 4,0L-470 Nm- 3,2 sec 0-100 km/h- PDK S- start production May-Delivery starting by July.
Price in Germany : slightly more than 180.000 euro. Geneve presentation...

I've never understood why people thought Porsches sounded so good. They usually sound like a tractor or weed whacker when starting up and idling, but I got a chance to hear a GT3 wide open the on the tollway a few days ago. OMG. Sounded like a real racecar. It has a brand new GT3 being wrung out full tilt. Sounded glorious.

Huh? Wasn't the RS the first one to get an all new engine?
Yeah that is what I thought wasn't there an interview of some Porsche engineer who said that the 911 GT3 RS would get a new engine that was NA and based on the turbo engine to debut in the FL 911?

Wolfgang Hatz apparently said that in an interview. But others claim otherwise. Maybe he misspoke, may be not. I guess we will find the truth soon.

All those Porsches sound fantastic on the Ring.

Coming from Rennlist ..

last news just arrived (tbc) and available on an Italian Forum:

4.0 500 horsepower (more racing components than the GT3)
3 different seats with a racing seat compared to 918
color: white, black, gray special, orange and purple fusion
Interior full carbon such as turbo S
Interior in two colors (orange or gray)
all cars must be delivered in July (but not limited edition production of 4 months, less than 500 cars worldwide)
GT3 name could disappear with this Rs. All next will be turbo.

wheels (20 and 21) 3 colors (gray, platinum and black)
Pdk more race oriented
more racing suspensions
closer to a race car than a road one..

That part, I suspect, is BS. AP says in the interview GT4 Evo interview, they will continue with NA engines in GT cars. Wolfgang Hatz also said stuff to that effect.

It's always the same, they want firm orders and reach their target as usual. Price close to €200k

So if they drop the GT3 part will it be 911 RS?

GT3 RS rolls so nicely off the tongue. In Dutch at least :(
