A3/S3/RS3 [Official] 2014 Audi A3/S3 Sedan

The Audi A3 is a small family car (C-segment) manufactured and marketed by Audi AG since September 1996. The first two generations of the Audi A3 were based on the Volkswagen Group A platform, while the third and fourth generations use the Volkswagen Group MQB platform.
Sure but I will be back to remind you when the A3 follows the other A3s and completely falls on its non-dynamic ass.

The vast majority of people buying this kind of car wouldn't have a clue about how a car drives and nor would they care. Not every car has to be capable of lapping a circuit in record time or providing maximum feedback from the steering. This is a compact, stylish sedan. I really don't understand the obsession with "dynamism". :banghead:

do you mean you work for BMW ?

Yes, believe it or not Scott works for BMW. The marketing department. You have to be very astute at spotting this though as he disguises this fact very well indeed.

I think BMW's job is to stop making the 1er and 2er looking too junior, right? As much as BMW wants to protect the 3series, i mean either make the 3er better or just don't bother with the 1er and 2er if you make them look like abandoned child of the group. Honestly, the E87 was at best, cute (pre FL) and still the fascia of the LCI and coupe is no where near the aggressiveness of the E90, let alone the F20 vs F30 story. I'm sure BMW can make an even better looking car, with more dynamic lines and better proportions perhaps, but they got to do it. Sorry though looks like the very dramatic A and CLA class is already the best MB could do, all i can say about those are far fetched designs, off topic though sorry.

Until a 2er from BMW, this A3 is hard to beat in terms of exterior design at least. Not that we like boredom, but it does look good...or should i say, boredom is better than ugliness (F20). though i don't really find this car boring at all somehow, it's pretty damn desirable.

It was a humorous harmless response to another humorous harmless response.

Fair point, but as soon as you make yourself known as an employee of BMW marketing then your posts carry a lot of baggage that you cannot get away from. When you make any post, you're not posting as a general member of the public or as a car fan, but as a part of BMW marketing. Fact.

I appreciate you may well be a car fan, and you may intend some of your posts to be nothing other than your own opinion, but I'm afraid other people, including myself, will never see you that way. Every post you make is part of the BMW marketing plan, even if it's not.

Sorry, but you chose to reveal yourself.

I appreciate the factual information you provide here. You come across as an intelligent and reasonable person. However, sometimes it's like being part of a big subliminal brain washing experiment. A bit like product placement in a film.

Experts recon that being a Air Traffic Controller is one of the most stressful jobs, because controllers have an incredibly large responsibility while on duty and make countless split-second decisions on a daily basis, the ATC profession is consistently regarded around the world as one of the most mentally challenging careers, and can be notoriously stressful ;)

And it shows!:p:D(y)

When I'm at work I'm incredibly relaxed. It's only when I come on here I get stressed. ;):D

That little inspiration from these designers, this is equal to the previous or the new A4 ..... really a shame not deserve the salary.
Doing something as innocuous, taking the opportunity to do something new, really ashamed

The designers job is to fulfill the design "brief". To make a car look so attractive even though they had little room for flamboyance is actually a great testament to their abilities.

And here's a nice post from someone so negative yet truly intelligent :)
joking aside* Proud of our Betty!

I'm stunned at how much car one gets by buying an A3 sedan.

Get one too :)
Yes, this is IMO the best Audi if we don't count the R8.
It might be based on a Golf but the Golf is the best all-round car in the world.
It might look like a Jetta but the Jetta was IMO the best looking small sedan... up until that moment.
I'm already in love with this car but I can't stop liking it more and more with every second!

Are you getting one? Just think of the RS3, wide-body, even more exclusive interior, 5 cylinders etc...

I'm not sure when the RS3 Sedan will be released and I do think it won't be soon at all.
Yes, I'm getting the S3 Sedan as a daily driver. If the M2GC doesn't impress me enough I'll go for the RS3 Sedan but it's too soon to tell. For now the only car I'm certainly buying is the S3 Sedan :)

Post pics of it. :D

You have an idea of the color?

I'd take it in this color:

^That blue, red, white or black... still deciding :D
If they don't charge more than 1k for the above color it'll most probably be it :)

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
